A letter to all Tonquin Valley fans.

This is normally an exciting time for Tonquin Valley Adventures as we look to our winter opening on February 16th. This year is shaping up to be even more challenging than last.

We closed our winter season last year on March 20th when the valley was in full winter glory. Covid 19 didn't seem to care.
We ran a summer program that tried to comply with the spirit of the rules around AHS directives but the summer was a bust and again Covid 19 didn't seem care.

Now we are looking to a winter season that again has Covid issues but even more troubling has environmental and political issues boiling up over which we have little control.

On one side two lowly outfitters and on the other, the who's who of Canadian environmental organizations as well as the Alpine Club of Canada.

Stuck squarely in the middle is Parks Canada.

So this is just a note to inform everyone that we will open the valley on February 16th. In doing so we will comply with all the rules, regulations and operating conditions set out by Parks Canada ...much as we have done for the last 21 years.

If you chose to visit the valley you will be both staggered by its beauty and stunned by its spirit. In my humble opinion there is no place it's equal.

If you chose to visit Tonquin Valley Adventures or Tonquin Valley Ski and Pack Trips you will be embraced by 80 years of history as well.

Carl and Cosmo are not the only characters in the valley looking for companionship. This is Eldon.
We had a bit of a stare down at the Old Horn lunch site.

Check out the wad of chew in Cosmo's cheek!
