We had a full house! ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ of all ages took part in the celebration (and despite the crazy sudden 10min of rain, no one left)!
So from the begining:
Our resort was fully-booked. We sold, with the help of some good friends, 71 tickets. And we had more than 32 walk ins on the day.
What an afternoon!

The sausages ๐ญ from Seed to Saussage with mustards ๐ฏ from David & Sons in buns from Happiness is Homemade were delicious. Nour barbecued them from the balcony and dropped them down a wicker basket ๐งบ๐งบ๐งบ ! Now that is village style!
Pretzels ๐ฅจ from Goods & Grains were fantastic! Brown shiny crust, and soft interior with just the right amount of salt ๐ ... couple that with Nawar's
traditional Obatzda ... a real treat!
Pizza ๐, everyone's favorite pizza place The Red Barn Zone was there to serve pizza straight to the tables.
For a side dish Kartofelnsalat and for dessert Apfelstrudle ๐๐๐ซ
๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ค๐ฌ:
The bar was the focal point of the event with one OUTSTANDING bar tender Edward Ashberry who not only sold alcohol, but entertained buyers with stories and jokes (the way he normally does)!
Beers ๐ป ๐บ ๐ป ๐บ from Paris, London, Windsor, Waterloo & Perth Breweries (all Ontario ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ) were sold in cans for those who preferred a type, or in flights of 4 for those who wanted to try a bunch.
๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐:
Brick & Rick's Polka Party started eveyone with Oompah's! Laura Anderson-Brick's accordion ๐ช sure got everyone tapping their feet, swaying in their chairs ... absolutely wonderful!
Then came in our local band Harlow Road with Andrew on the keyboard ๐น, Scott Shpak on the guitar ๐ธand Heidi Reid singing ๐ค. They were, least to say, fantastic! โจ๏ธโจ๏ธโจ๏ธโจ๏ธ
And, just as we thought the evening was over, stepped in the guests of the resort! Turns out some musical talents there as well! With Celine Nassar and Daniella singing, and Lucas working the evening as DJ ... the party and dancing went on till 11pm! ๐ช๐ช๐ธ๐ช๐ถ๐ต
๐๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ:
We were so happy that Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre took part in the event, as well as Happiness is Homemade, signedbyNawar and Nascom Group. Each of these vendors presented a very unique product: information on the wild life ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ฆin our area, chocolate bonbons ๐ซ & Montreal delicacies.
The event that started 3 years ago with an idea from Mike (a nostalgic idea from our days many miles away), had now become a staple in our community. An event that attracted more than 150 guests while many other events were taking place in the area.
๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฌ:
Guests were provided with little games on their tables, but the one game we want to talk about is designing a LOGO FOR OKTOBERFEST!
Guests were asked to design a logo. We have 6 submitted logos.
Our team chose a winner, Carol Smith and she recieved a huge beer mug! (In a separate post, we will ask the community to vote, and we will pick the people's choice winner)

And A FINAL THANK YOU TO ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ who picked our OKTOBERFEST to spend their Labor Day Saturday, who brought their smiles, their good cheers, and their energies and made this event a big success. ๐๐๐๐
