It’s a valid concern and one every host thinks about at some point.

The truth is, damages can happen. But panic usually comes from not having a system in place.

What I always recommend:
• clear house rules before check-in
• documented photos of the property before each stay
• fast communication if something happens
• report issues through the platform properly and on time
• keep emotions out of it, stay professional

Most situations are smaller than hosts imagine: stained linens, broken dishes, minor wear and tear. Serious damage is less common, especially when you screen well and run the property correctly.

This is another reason co-hosting matters. We help prevent problems through better guest communication, expectations, and processes and if something does happen, it’s handled the right way.

Hosting gets easier when you stop relying on luck and start relying on systems. ✨

I call it the wow moment, one standout feature that makes people stop scrolling and click.

It doesn’t need to be expensive. It can be:
• a beautifully styled patio with string lights
• a bold accent wall behind the bed
• a cozy fire pit setup
• a luxury coffee station
• oversized art in the living room
• a stunning dining setup for group stays

Why it matters: most guests won’t remember every lamp or side table… but they will remember the feature that made your space feel different.

In an oversaturated market, average gets ignored. Memorable gets booked.

The key is balance: one strong focal point supported by a clean, cohesive design.

Memorial Day is one of the first major summer travel weekend and smart hosts don’t wait until the last minute 🇺🇸☀️

As co-hosts, we start preparing early by making sure every listing is positioned to capture demand before calendars fill up.

What that looks like:
• updating pricing for peak weekend demand
• refreshing listing photos and descriptions
• highlighting pools, patios, lake views, family space, etc.
• adjusting minimum stays strategically
• making sure the property is guest-ready for strong reviews

My biggest tip? Don’t underprice holiday weekends just to get booked fast.
High-demand dates need strategy, not panic pricing.

Memorial Day guests are booking experiences: BBQ weekends, family time, lake days, beach trips, city escapes. If your listing communicates that clearly, you win.

This is the difference between hoping for bookings… and planning for them. ✨
