🌊 BIG NEWS FOR CONEY ISLAND & OUR COMMUNITY 🌊

We are incredibly honoured and excited to officially announce that Lake of the Woods Marina & Service Centre Ltd. has been awarded the City of Kenora contract for Coney Island Beach operations and concession.

Before we share what lies ahead, we want to take a moment to recognize Jennifer Schott and her family. For many years, Jennifer’s dedication, warmth, and care helped shape the Coney Island experience for locals and visitors alike. Her presence became part of the rhythm of summer — a familiar and valued piece of countless memories made on the island. We extend our sincere gratitude and respect to Jennifer and her family for the time, energy, and heart they invested into this special place. Their contribution to Coney Island and to the community will always be appreciated.

Coney Island is more than just a beach. It is a place filled with memories, traditions, and generations of summer stories. We recognize the deep community connection to this special space, and we are committed to caring for it with the respect, energy, and pride it deserves.

Over the coming seasons, our goal is simple. Protect what people love while thoughtfully enhancing the experience.

Here are just some of the plans we are excited to bring forward:

Everything we do will be guided by stewardship, safety, and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone who visits.

We are grateful to the City of Kenora for the opportunity, and even more grateful to this community for the trust and support you continue to show our growing family of brands. We cannot wait for another unforgettable summer at Coney Island.

Seasons are changing and winter is coming! But we will be on the lake until the water freezes over. Send us a message for all your adventure needs 🐟

Please be advised that the Coney Island floating walkway will be installed for the season on Friday, November 7, 2025.

🌧🌬🌨This project's completion is subject to weather conditions, specifically wind gusts in the area. If installation is delayed due to weather, we expect to place the floating walkway on the next calm day.

Thank you for your patience during this infrastructure project.

🌳 Green Adventures = Outdoor Living 🌳
Green grass and high tides. 🌊

After Thanksigiving Weekend (Sunday, 12 October, 2025), your adventures can still be green, except INSIDE at our indoor Golf Simulator! Just a different type of 'green'. 😉💚

As we move most of our life jackets, paddles and boating safety kits to cold storage, we will slowly transition our summer storage room from Green Adventures to Kraken Golf and Game Room.

So, if you ever thought about going on a Fall canoe/kayak/paddleboard adventure, NOW IS THE TIME! 🛶🍁

Keep an eye out for updates on our golf room, which will be open until May, until we can get our outdoor adventures back again when the weather is warmer in the spring! ⛳
