A bright, comfortable and completely self- contained private one bedroom garden level suite with your own parking spot, keypad entrance, sunroom, patio and flat shady grassy area surrounded by Arbutus and forest. It is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you will need and many unexpected touches. The kitchen has an apartment size fridge, freezer and stove, microwave, and Keurig, plus all the essentials and more for your stay. It has a large kitchen island with seating as well as a dining table and chairs. Gaze out at the relaxing view of the forest from the spacious, bright bedroom on a brand new luxurious Comfort Tech Serene Foam queen size bed fitted with silky soft cotton linens. Then draw the black-out blinds for the best sleep of your life. For your convenience there is a dresser and closet with plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. We provide a baby change pad and cover to use on the dresser if needed. The living room is a bright, comfortable place to relax and has a smart tv with Netflix and Prime TV as well as many other apps. You have your very own in-suite washer and dryer as well as an adjacent full size bathroom with a tub and shower. We offer 2 single Nova Foam foldout beds for kids, a toddler foam bed upon request, pack 'n play, booster seat, change pad, books, games and toys as well as children's tableware. The suite is best suited for one couple but can accommodate a small family with up to 2 children. While we are child-friendly accommodation, the suite is not "child-proof" so we don't have covers on plugs, child locks on cupboards or furniture secured to the walls.

A little mother-daughter adventure in Sidney today 💕🌊
We explored the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea, wandered along Beacon Avenue, popped into some cute shops (including a kids’ bookstore 📚), and made our way down to Tulista Park.
Then we found the perfect spot to sit by the water before enjoying a scenic waterfront lunch at The Surly Mermaid 🧜‍♀️☀️

🍸 A great local find just a short walk from Forest Retreat!

We stopped by Ryes & Shine Craft Distillery and cocktail bar Sunday afternoon with the family, and we were really impressed. It’s the kind of spot that makes you appreciate having great local places right in the neighbourhood.

The menu features 15 unique cocktails, plus a great variety of appies and meals, so there’s something for everyone. We also loved the relaxed atmosphere, live music and plenty of shaded outdoor seating — perfect for a summer afternoon.

And the service was fantastic! 👏

If you’re staying with us at Forest Retreat, Ryes & Shine is an easy walk from the suite and definitely worth checking out. 🌲🍹
