The community gathered this past Saturday to celebrate Summer in the City! It was full of fun with a petting zoo, arts and crafts, water sports on Telford Lake along with lots of other activities provided by community groups and organizations. It was a fantastic way for residents to connect with one another, maybe even try something new, and get outside this summer.

Thanks to all who attended!

Did you know that stormwater ponds collect runoff from streets and yards, carrying dirt, oil, and other contaminants? That means the water isn't safe for recreational use by people or pets, no matter how tempting it looks on a hot day.

Heavy rain, that can occasionally follow a hot day, may cause water levels in stormwater ponds to rise up to nearby trails, which is normal and part of the pond's design.

Safety is everyone's responsibility. Drive at or below the posted speed limit in residential areas, playground zones and construction zones to enhance your field of vision, reduce braking distance, and gain precious seconds to react to the unexpected. Let's keep our community safe, one careful drive at a time.
