💻 Another great week of learning is complete!

From August 10–14, Nexion Travel Group-Canada advisors joined colleagues virtually for Virtual Essentials, five days dedicated to learning, building confidence, and strengthening the skills that support their travel businesses.

The virtual format gave advisors the opportunity to learn together, connect with the Nexion team and their peers, ask questions, and walk away with practical knowledge they can continue putting into action.

A big congratulations to our Canadian advisors who participated! 🇨🇦💜 We can't wait to see where you go from here.

Meet Kierra Masale-Munajj, Membership Recruitment Marketing Manager at Nexion Travel Group. 💜

As part of our Black Voices in Travel series, Kierra is sharing a different perspective on what representation means across the travel industry.

Through her work in recruitment marketing, Kierra connects people with opportunities that can add value to their lives. She also sees firsthand how visibility can shape who feels welcomed into the industry and who can picture themselves building a future in travel.

For Kierra, representation helps build trust, strengthens global connection and creates space for talented professionals to see that they belong.

She has also seen Black travel advisors and entrepreneurs bring humility, empathy and a big-picture perspective to both the industry and the Nexion community.

Her advice for someone considering becoming a travel advisor?

“You didn’t get the idea to become a travel advisor for no reason. Find a community like Nexion to join and go for it!”

Meet Emelia Timpo, founder of Timpo Travel. 💜

After more than 17 years working with the United Nations and traveling around the world, Emelia turned a lifetime of global experience into a second career in travel.

Today, Timpo Travel specializes in escorted tours, luxury cruises, river cruises and travel to Africa for individuals, families and groups.

What Emelia values most is helping travelers feel confident exploring the world, especially those taking their first international trip. She loves seeing one journey inspire the next.

Her approach is rooted in service, responsiveness and truly understanding what each client wants from their trip.

Her advice for building a successful travel business?

Know the destinations. Know your clients. Build trust.
