So I'm sure I'm not the only one who faces this dilemma when planning the next trip...

Do I book the destination I know and love? The place that's familiar, comfortable, and feels a little like a second home? Or do I choose the destination I've never seen before — the one that's exciting, unfamiliar, and full of new adventures? 🤔

Right now, I'm stuck between two very different options: Mexico and Europe.

Mexico has my heart. I know the beaches, the food, the resorts, the culture, and that feeling the moment I step off the plane and know I'm exactly where I want to be.

But then there's Europe... new countries, new cities, incredible history, amazing food, and experiences I've never had before.

Part of me wants the comfort of a favourite destination. The other part wants to collect new memories and explore somewhere completely different.

So tell me... are you a "return to your favourite place" traveler, or are you always chasing somewhere new?

There’s nothing like completely letting loose on vacation.

Some people travel to relax… and some travel to PARTY. 🍾🪩🎉💃🕺🏻

Me? I need a mix of both. Give me the beach, the sunshine, the poolside cocktails… but the best nights are always when the DJ is playing and my 🍑 is on the dance floor! 🫢💃🏼🔥

I live for the foam pool parties, themed nights, loud music, dancing until 2am, and those nights become some of your favourite memories. 💛

Ok I said it. No negative Nellys while I’m on vacation please! 🫢

The worst thing for me is traveling with someone who complains the whole time - you realize we paid money to be here! 😂

Theres enough things to complain about in our day to day lives. On vacation I only want to hear how amazing everything is!

For me, I truly believe you can’t have a bad day on vacation. The sun is shining, the drinks are flowing, we are lounging. The two biggest decisions are pool or beach and which restaurant to eat at tonight.

Vacation is your reminder to be present , enjoy yourself, and love your life a little harder. 🤸💛☀️

So I ALWAYS dress cozy for the plane. My go-to is leggings, an oversized hoodie and comfy sneakers. I run cold on flights so this combo keeps me warm and comfortable. I also pack cozy socks in my carry-on because the second I sit down on the plane, the sneakers come off and the fuzzy socks go on 😂

BUT — because I dress warm for the flight, I always pack a change of clothes in my carry-on too. Usually sandals, a light outfit and a bikini.

Why? Because sometimes you wait forever for your luggage and I refuse to sit in a hot airport in leggings and a hoodie any longer than necessary lol. I either change right before landing or as soon as we arrive.

And the bikini is non-negotiable because check-in can take time and my buns are going poolside ASAP 🌴☀️🍹

I also always keep sunscreen and sunglasses in my carry-on too because….I’m a redhead 👩‍🦰

As my boyfriend found out the hard way on our first trip together… this is actually solid travel advice 😂 He ignored me and ended up stuck in jeans and Blundstones in the heat way longer than he wanted.

Second trip? He came prepared accordingly !😎

Sometimes it’s not even the big moments that make me fall in love with travel — it’s the little things. 💛☀️

Airport Caesars = vacation mode activated! 🍅🍹
The first blast of warm air when you step off the plane. ✈️
Morning coffees on the beach ☕️
The sound of waves at night 🌊
The biggest decision of the day: pool or beach? 🤔
Poolside laughs with strangers who become friends.🤭
Sunsets that don’t even look real. 🌅
That carefree feeling where somehow life just feels lighter. 🧘

That’s the feeling I chase every time I travel. 🌴

Physical Limitations Didn’t Stop Me From Traveling and It Shouldn’t Stop You!🌎♿️

Traveling with a physical disability can absolutely come with challenges — but it should never stop someone from experiencing the world.

Last year I travelled all over Florida while lugging around a knee scooter after my bad ankle break. I couldn’t walk on my ankle at all.

What did travel look like for me then?

• Making sure our hotel rooms were accessible by elevator
• Choosing resorts where the pools and amenities were knee scooter friendly
• Researching beaches and accessibility options ahead of time
• My boyfriend literally fireman-style carrying me across the beach… in the Florida heat… and into the water 😂❤️

(Shout out to Dakota who not only drove the ENTIRE trip because I physically couldn’t, but also lifted my scooter in and out of the car every single stop along the way 🫶)

One beach even had a beach-friendly wheelchair I could use. Honestly, it looked straight out of The Flintstones and I loved every second of it 😂

And this year traveling to Jamaica looked different again. I can walk now, but still deal with a lot of pain. So accessibility still mattered — just in different ways.

This time it meant:
• Booking a room close to the amenities to cut down on walking
• Making sure there was elevator access
• Prioritizing comfort over “cute” on travel days and wearing my comfiest sneakers 👟

Travel may look different depending on your physical abilities, injuries or limitations — but there are almost always ways to make it work with proper planning.

Everyone deserves to make memories, feel the ocean, explore new places and experience the joy that travel brings. ☀️🏝️✈️

Are you someone who collects tattoos as travel souvenirs? ✈️🖤

I’ve been tattooed twice in Ottawa, twice in Mexico, and once in Florida. Every one has a story attached to it.

My first solo trip to Ottawa, my cousin and I decided to get tattoos together. We both had
way too much fun the night before and randomly decided to get tattoos in the morning. We loved the experience and the memory.

My second solo Ontario trip happened during a breakup. Naturally, I had to get the “breakup tattoo.” 😂 Still love it though.

My first tattoo in Mexico happened after a few too many drinks and definitely needed a coverup afterwards (IYKYK 😅). Would not recommend.

The second time in Mexico was with a girlfriend. Such a fun memory and I love having a little matching tattoo with her. No regrets there.

My Florida tattoo was with my boyfriend. We got matching palm tree tattoos — different placements, same idea. 🌴 Honestly, I love my palm trees… and I love him… so definitely no regrets haha.

There’s a particular look I get the moment I touch down in a new destination or really when I know my vacation is starting! 💁‍♀️

I’ve started to recognize it on myself — a smile full of excitement, pure joy, and eagerness to start making memories. ☀️✨

Something about travelling brings out that “kid in a candy shop” feeling in me every single time. New places, new experiences, new adventures… I never lose that excitement. ❤️

Fun Travel Tips You’ll Actually Want to Use 🌴⛱️✈️

☀️Always pack one outfit that makes you feel amazing — vacation confidence hits different.
☀️Wake up early at least once to see a destination before the crowds.
☀️Take more videos than photos. Future you will love hearing the sounds and laughter again.
☀️Don’t over-plan every minute. Some of the best memories happen by accident.
☀️Try one thing you normally wouldn’t:
* ziplining
* street food
* snorkeling
* dancing
* local tours
☀️Make a vacation playlist before you leave. Songs become instant memory triggers.
☀️Take the sunset photo… but also put the phone down and enjoy it.
☀️Ask locals where they eat instead of relying only on tourist spots.
☀️Bring a waterproof phone pouch for beach or pool days.
☀️Vacation calories don’t count. That second margarita is self-care.
☀️If there’s a swim-up bar, you’re basically required to use it.
☀️Beach days are always better with:
* a speaker
* snacks
* SPF (especially for us red heads!)
* zero responsibilities
☀️Book the excursion. The memories usually outlast the money spent.
☀️Matching airport outfits are cheesy… until you do it and love it.
☀️Never underestimate the healing power of:
* ocean air
* sunshine
* a passport stamp
* and a good all-inclusive resort
