A huge congratulations to the Maple Creek Flying Club on celebrating an incredible 60 years of serving the community! 🎉

The anniversary celebration brought everyone together for a morning of breakfast, live music, wagon rides, good company and plenty of visiting. A pretty great way to celebrate six decades of aviation in Maple Creek.

Here’s to 60 years of taking to the skies and being part of the community.... and many more to come! ✈️❤️

McLaren Lake Regional Park near Richmound, Saskatchewan is a 'little gem' upon the prairie. With a relatively small, man-made lake approximately 2 km long and 0.5 km wide. Deep enough for boating, kayaking, tubing, paddleboards and alike.

The lake was created by a dam in the 1960s and is the centerpiece of McLaren Lake Regional Park.

The park as added 24 new sights this year - 6 area 50amp and 18 are 30amp - with water hook up coming.

They offer a 'prairiescape lake trail' with unique birds to the area like pelicans, piping plovers (akin to kill dears) and owls who visit annually.

9 hole golf with sand greens.

NEWLY added is a fully outfitted 2-bedroom cottage right at the shores edge. With one king size and one bunk bedded (double/single) guestroom, private washroom, full kitchen (with the exception of a stove - 2 ring burner), BBQ just outside the front door and steps to the beach.

McLaren Lake Regional Park closes at the end of September, but there’s still plenty of time to experience everything this unforgettable destination has to offer.

River Ridge has just opened a brand new Clubhouse!

Perched atop the river hills of the South Saskatchewan River the clubhouse provides food and beverage with indoor and outdoor seating with a wrap-around covered deck. Located about 7 km north of Leader on Highway 21.

Some highlights:

A links-style golf course with wide, irrigated fairways and grass greens.

Set in a natural prairie landscape overlooking the river hills north of Leader.
