SHA Mexico is incredible. But its marketing tells a lie.

If you look at their Instagram feed, it feels like an exclusive club meant only for people who already have their health completely figured out. It’s a wall of flawless, 30-something Pilates girlies who look like they’ve never dealt with a chronic condition or a fried nervous system a day in their lives.
It leaves the people who actually need help the most feeling like they don't belong.

When I audited the property for 48 hours this past January, I found a completely different reality. SHA isn't just an aesthetic spa day for the already-perfect. It is a rigorous, science-backed medical facility equipped to handle real, messy, exhausting human health struggles. It is built for a gaining data, knowledge and a reset for your future.

But when you are operating on absolute empty, you don't have the bandwidth to decipher complex medical itineraries or figure out personalized logistics. You just need a guide to hand you the answers.

I’ve broken down everything you actually need to know about the SHA experience—unfiltered, honest, and without the intimidating fluff.

Let's talk in the comments. Does luxury wellness marketing usually make you feel inspired, or does it just feel completely out of touch with real life?

Drop a "YES" or a ❤️ below and I’ll slide the link to my full, honest SHA breakdown directly into your DMs.

Okay, who is the "Pied Piper" in your circle?

You know exactly who I’m talking about. They’re the one who always rallies the group, has the best ideas, and invites everyone. It feels like they know someone everywhere they go and they literally never run out of things to talk about.

They’re the friend who could text you right now saying, "Hey, want to go to [insert destination] with me?" and you wouldn’t even need details. Your answer is just an automatic, "Hell yes, I do!"

Tag that person below.

(Seriously, tag them—I have a fun idea. DM me if you're curious!)

Who's the person in your circle who gets a group together, has ideas of fun things to do and invites everyone, seems to know someone everywhere they go and never runs out of things to talk about.

Who's the person who could say - want to go with me to (xyz destination)? And you'd be an automatic hell yes I do!

The matches are officially here, and Vancouver is electric. 🏟️

But if you fly all the way to British Columbia and only see the inside of a stadium and a downtown hotel lobby, you’re missing the real magic of where we live.

Just beyond the city, you could be taking a private floatplane into a remote rainforest lodge, stepping into a floating wood-fired wellness sauna in the Great Bear Rainforest, or heading inland to a private estate in our desert wine country.

The catch? The tournament starts in exactly two weeks. Exclusive lodges, private helicopter charters, and premium BC escapes are at near-capacity.

You don’t have time to navigate the intense logistics and lack of availability on your own—but you don’t have to.

I’ve updated my exclusive "Beyond FIFA" regional guide with current luxury availability and added a direct rapid-response inquiry form so we can salvage your itinerary between match whistles.

👇 I have dropped the guide and the urgent intake form in the first comment below.

Fill out your details today, and I will personally review your parameters and email you within 1 business day to schedule our urgent consultation.

If Botswana is on your bucket list, 2026 is a unique year to look at.

My go-to safari partner, Wilderness Destinations, just put out an update on the Okavango Delta. Because of heavy upstream rainfall, the Delta is experiencing a historic high-water year. Local elders say it’s filling channels that haven't seen water in decades.

Here is the reality of what that means for a safari right now:

First, the water logistics are totally different. Waterways are opening up that are usually dry land, meaning you explore deep into the Delta's interior by boat and traditional mokoro canoe.

Second, the wildlife concentration changes. As the dry season peaks, massive herds of buffalo and elephant are forced onto the remaining dry islands. It sets the stage for intense predator dynamics around specific concessions like Mombo, Chitabe, and Qorokwe.

Years like this reveal the Okavango at its most visually spectacular, but it also makes the logistics and camp selection incredibly complex. You have to know exactly which areas match the experience you're looking for.

👇 I’ve dropped more information below. My first comment links to a breakdown of these luxury itineraries on my journal if you want to see how these trips are built. The second comment has the direct link to Wilderness' full scientific update on the predator movements.

See what its like to take a luxury small-ship cruise as part of a full vacation with a stay at a 5 star resort - when its fully planned, completely customized to you, and totally worth it.

Review from google

"I don’t often leave reviews but I was so impressed with Karen Tatum I felt my experience needed to be shared.
From the initial stages of planning our trip to the final result Karen was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. People would ask me why I didn’t do my trip planning online without a travel consultant. I’d then explain how much easier it is to have someone willing to organize and filter choices, and has built in knowledge and access to information regarding hotels, tours etc at your destination.
Our trip in January was to Barbados for a three night stay in the Sandylane Resort (incredible property) then off on a cruise aboard the beautiful ship Seabourn Ovation.
My husband and I were so impressed at how smoothly our journey was because of Karen’s organizational skills. We are fast approaching 70 in excellent health but it’s still nice to be met at the airport and fast tracked through security. There was also someone waiting from the hotel to help with luggage and take us to our driver.
I am in the process of planning our next adventure to New Zealand and Australia. Karen is already providing excellent advice and I look forward to hearing more of her ideas.
Karen will be a part of our travel decisions whenever we plan a getaway . She’s the best!"

To the British Columbia wellness instructors ready for their next big business era ... international wellness retreats...

You have built your community, you have mastered your craft, and now you are ready for the ultimate milestone: stepping fully into your purpose and scaling your income by taking your students on an unforgettable international wellness retreat.

I want that for you. It is an incredible way to deepen your impact and elevate your brand.

But as someone who helps build these luxury experiences, I also want to protect your vision.

The moment a BC entrepreneur starts bundling their expertise with accommodations and other travel components, the rules change. In our province, you enter a completely different regulatory space under Consumer Protection BC.

My latest article was written specifically to keep CPBC from derailing your hard work over compliance rules you did not even know were on the books.

You absolutely can build a highly profitable, luxury wellness experience without the legal stress. You just need the right framework from the start.

How to read the guide:

If you want to read the full step by step breakdown before you start planning your next retreat - just let me know in the comments and I will gladly message you the direct link.

Lets look at your structure:

Or, if you are already in the middle of planning and you are wondering if your current retreat structure might accidentally be crossing into those tricky regulatory lines, drop a quick note below about how you are setting it up. I would be happy to take a look and let you know where you stand.

Save this post to look back on when you start scouting venues, or share it with a fellow BC instructor who is looking to expand this year.

Planning and taking a really great vacations comes with a whole lot of details, doesn't it?

That's even more obvious if planning vacations for many people at once, is what you do for work.

And what Ive discovered is that there's really no turn-key system for travel advisors to use to manage all those details at once AND provide the information and personalized service that I want to provide to people who hire me.

So I created my own system. I took software that was out there and then I learned how to customize it so that I could track everything I know is important, and so I could provide reliable, repeatable service to every client.

And when I did that I create a TON of administrative work. Its great because my clients get really amazing service every time and I never just book your trip and then disappear on you. But it also takes my brain out of the creative process of helping you create your travel story and in to the minutiae of email management etc.

To keep me travel planning and to build capacity for a (hopefully) growing business - Ive hired Andrea (my sister), and Alex (my oldest child) to keep my system flowing.

I so, I have space on my schedule for more trip planning.

If you want to stop with the endless research, get away from crowd sourcing your travel recommendations and get your trip out of the group chat and in to reality - click the top link in my bio to choose your time for a travel planning consultation.

Mother’s Day is 10 days away.

For the moms who do it all, this is your reminder:

You shouldn’t have to plan your own rest.

No research. No comparing options. No managing details.

Just a trip that’s already taken care of for you.

And if you love a mom like that, this might be one of the most meaningful gifts you can give her: ease.

I plan everything so she can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.

DM me if you want help planning a vacation like this.
