There are so many expedition cruise lines, itineraries, and experiences available when you start searching for an expedition cruise to Antarctica - and trying to figure out if you should spend 10k or 60k is, well, kind of a big frustrating, overwhelming deal.
Do you really need the heated walk-in closet so that your expedition gear is all toasty warm each time you head out on to the zodiac? What about flying over the drake rather than sailing across it or is the drake-shake a right-of-passage you don’t want to miss? Do you want to be off the ship as much as possible and so the 500 passenger boats are out and the under 200 passenger ships are best?
And that’s if Antarctica is even the right expedition destination for you. Did you know there are expedition cruises all over the world, not just the poles?
Figuring this out on your own can have you WAY overspending and feeling uncomfortable with the fancy suited butler ready to take care of your every whim. OR absolutely kicking yourself as you squeeze into a “cozy” shared cabin with the cabinmates you really didn’t want to get to know THAT well.
