I’ve been intending to update the page once the wheels were truly in motion for the new ( old ) project. Development plans are now underway.

AHA wil be creating a network of hiking and single-track MTB trails on the Western portion of the 200 acre mountain property which is directly connected to a vast area of Crown Land where the VMUTS is also located. The new trail network will cross the VMUTS, heading West on the Northern side of the Mattawa River.

A proper MTB trail network was always part of the AHA development plans and it is something that will benefit Mattawa. Local businesses, the museum and information centre are regularly asked about MTB trails and it’s a needed and overdue addition to the tourism profile for the region.
