My heart goes out to those families who have lost members in the wars (past and present). We lost our Uncle, Staff Sergeant Donald Taylor, a tail gunner, in WW 11, shot down over Norway returning from a bombing mission. I'm afraid I never got to meet him although I hear he was one heck of a good young man! We all owe a great debt to Don and soo many more like him! Please take a couple of minutes to say a small prayer for those lost and thier families left behind. Have a good day everyone!

We were happy to welcome Don Connolly, host of the CBC Information Morning show and his crew last night. They broadcast from the Upper Musquodoboit Consolidated School this morning, as part of the Meet the Artist segment that they have been doing in respect to the Feed Nova Scotia Calendar that CBC produces and SOBEY'S sell to raise monies for the Nova Scotia food banks. Shelly Mansel of Upper Musquodoboit is one of the artists whose picture was chosen for the calendar. Congratulations to Shelly!

BEAUTIFUL day here in Middle, right in the "heart" of the "50 Mile Route of YARD SALES" taking place this weekend! Traffic is steady with many happy looking people walking by, with their "new found TREASURES" under their arms, lol, and allot of 1/2 ton trucks going by loaded down with goodies! Looks like a great weekend for you YARD SALE enthusiasts. Luckily, we still have rooms available for this evening, for anyone interested. Have a GREAT day, and enjoy the YARD SALE!!

HI FOLKS!! This is the BIG weekend at the DNR Forestry Education Centre for the annual "CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING AND CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR " weekend! It all starts Friday , Nov 30th at 6:00 PM with the TREE LIGHTING and Christmas Music until 8:30 PM. The CRAFT FAIR starts at 10 AM Saturday - til 4, and Sunday 11 AM - 4 PM.
We have rooms available, if you care to make a weekend out of it!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!
