The Town of Midland will not proceed with awarding the proposed Midland Bay Landing development project following Council’s review of the proposals and considering community input for this once-in-a-lifetime parcel of waterfront.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, Town Council determined that, under current market conditions, it would be challenging to advance the proposal in a way that appropriately advances the Town’s strategic priorities and the vision for the site informed through community engagement.

Community engagement had identified key priorities for the site, including considerations related to waterfront access, scale, land use, and long-term community benefit. Council considered these perspectives alongside broader economic factors in reaching its decision.

The Town of Midland will not proceed with awarding the proposed Midland Bay Landing (MBL) development project following Council’s review of the proposals and considering community input for this once-in-a-lifetime parcel of waterfront.

Don't forget to review and update your school support designation by June 1! The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation's online portal makes it easy. Your school support designation:

✅determines which school board receives your education property taxes.

✅ensures you are placed on the correct voters list for municipal and school board elections.

Even if you do not have children in school, your property is still linked to a school board, and your designation still matters! Learn more:

The Town of Midland is reminding all property owners and residents (including tenants) to review and update their school support designation by June 1, 2026, to ensure their information is included correctly on the Preliminary List of Electors for the October 26, 2026 municipal and school board elec...
