Not all character dining experiences at Disney World are created equal ✨

So here’s my take on breakfast at ‘Ohana:

📍 Located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

🍍 What it is:
• Family-style + all you care to eat breakfast
• Breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey + Pluto
• Polynesian-inspired breakfast
• NOT buffet style - everything is brought right to your table 🙌🏼

✨ Who I recommend it for:
• Families with multiple kids who don’t want to constantly be getting up and down at a buffet
• Lilo & Stitch fans
• Families planning a non-park day activity/ those without park tickets

🍽️ Thoughts on food:
The food was good… but personally I wouldn’t rank it as one of the best meals on Disney property (go for breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace for that)

EXCEPT for the pineapple coconut bread because WOW. That was so goods

❌ SKIP this if:
• You’re looking for the “best” standout food at Disney
• You want something quick
• You’re looking for a budget-friendly meal

Character dining can either be totally worth it or feel like a waste of money depending on your family and priorities.

That’s why I help my clients figure out which dining reservations are actually worth booking for *their* trip 🧚

A perfect rope drop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ✨

I’ll start by saying this: rope drop isn’t for everyone, and I definitely don’t recommend it for every family. But for us? It’s one of the biggest reasons our park days go so smoothly. My kids are early risers and happiest in the mornings, so we lean into that instead of fighting it.

I knew that my kids were going to want to ride the attractions at Toy Story Land (Alien Swirling Saucers + Toy Story Mania 😅) multiple times so Early Entry was the best time to do it.

If this is your first Disney trip OR your first time riding Rise of the Resistance, I actually recommend avoiding it during Early Entry and purchasing a Single Pass instead. It’s one of the most technically advanced rides at Disney, which also means delayed openings happen pretty often… and that can waste a lot of valuable Early Entry time.

There’s no one “right” way to do Disney. The best strategy is the one that works for YOUR family ✨

If you’re planning a Disney trip and want help building a park strategy that fits your family’s travel style, send me a DM and let’s start planning 💫

If you’re paying for Lightning Lanes and still “figuring it out” on pre-selection day… you’re already behind.

Before your selection window opens, make sure you:
✨ Download the My Disney Experience app and make an account (and if you already have it, make sure your app is the latest version)
✨ Your resort reservation and theme park tickets are linked
✨ Everyone in your party is linked and listed under your “Friends and Family” (if multiple people are booking lightning lanes then make sure those accounts have permission to manage your plans)
✨ A payment method is saved in your account
✨ You already know which park you’re going to each day
✨ You’ve measured your kids heights so you know if you need to purchase a single pass for them (looking at you Tron Lightcycle Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Avatar Flight of Passage, Rise of the Resistance, and
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train)

Skip these steps and you’re wasting precious booking time you don’t have and get poor return times.

If you’re not 100% sure everything is set up right, fix it before booking day - future you will be very thankful.

And remember, Lightning Lane selection opens at 7 AM, 7 days before check-in day for all Resort guests and 3 days in advance for everyone else

I help my clients handle all of this so booking day feels easy and not stressful.
