Definitely one of the most famous views in the Faroe Islands, the Múlafossur waterfall is a highlight for many. Seemingly pucked out straight from a fairytale, this waterfall sits at the edge of Gásadalur, that until twenty years ago, could only be accessed by hiking over a mountain. The postman would make the trek three times a week over from nearby Bøur. You can still hike this trail today. Now there is a modern tunnel connecting Gásadalur to the rest of the island and other islands.

Snippets from our latest adventure from Japan in the spring. From blooming wisteria tunnels to ancient ironworks and castle courtyards — our journey around Kitakyushu, near Fukuoka, was a beautiful blend of tradition, craft, and colour. 🌸⚔️✨

🌿 We wandered through the dreamlike Kawachi Fujien Wisteria Garden
🏯 Met a samurai guard at historic Kokura Castle
🧵 Watched our guest Don Ward learn ancient weaving techniques
🍵 And visited Ashiyagama no Sato — home to beautiful gardens and traditional iron kettles used in the tea ceremony, where guest Elaine Ritchie experienced the artistry up close

Every stop brought us deeper into Japan’s cultural roots — and we’re only just beginning. Have you been?

Today is International Women’s Day and this year’s theme—Accelerate Action—hits hard. At the current pace, full gender equality won’t happen until 2158. That’s way too long. We need to step it up.

At Adventure Canada, we’re proud to be a female-led company, but leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about the effort of every single person here. The unique women on our team bring their talent, passion, and heart to everything they do, giving a piece of themselves to help make Adventure Canada what it is. For that, we say: thank you.

But real change takes more than just celebrating—it takes action. Here’s how we can all step up:

✔ Speak up – If you see inequality or bias, don’t let it slide. Call it out.
✔ Support each other – Recognize and uplift the women around you. A little encouragement goes a long way.
✔ Make space – Mentor, listen, and create opportunities for more voices to be heard.
✔ Keep learning – Gender equality is a complex journey. Stay curious, stay informed.
✔ Push for change – Advocate for policies that truly support women, inside and outside of work.

The fight for equality isn’t over—and we can’t afford to wait. Let’s celebrate how far we’ve come, but more importantly, let’s keep pushing forward. Together 💜

Walk with Us on the Coldest Night of the Year!

This Saturday, February 22nd, we're bundling up and stepping out to support Armagh in the Coldest Night of the Year—a nationwide walk to raise funds for those experiencing homelessness, hunger, and hardship.

By walking together, we’re not only raising funds but also giving back to our community— helping to create a safer, more supportive space for those in need.

Join us! Walk with our team, donate, or spread the word. Every step helps bring support to those who need it most. All funds raised will go directly to supporting Armagh’s vital services in our community.

And don’t forget to show your support by wearing your blue Adventure Canada jacket and snapping a selfie to share on social media!

Together, we can help bring warmth to those who need it most this winter.
