The short answer? If you want a 2027 or early 2028 destination wedding, reach out now!
The long answer:
📲 Reach out 14-18 months in advance (early is better to avoid feeling rushed!)
This gives you time to compare locations, resorts, and really think about the wedding venues, your guest list estimates, and budgets.
This also will set us up for getting the best pricing when it comes time for quotes and the best availability for preferred travel dates and preferred wedding dates.

This gives us the best availability and pricing for travel and the best chance for the preferred wedding dates, venues, and times.
This allows us to get ahead of the resorts and flights opening up for sale to the public (which usually happens at the 11 month mark).
📸 Book your photographer 8-12 months out.
8-12 months (or 12-14 months if during peak local wedding season) if booking a photographer from home to travel with you 8-12 months prior.
6-8 months (or 10-12 months if during destination peak season of Nov – Apr) if booking a photographer based in destination.

This is usually when most resorts will connect you with their dedicated wedding planner.
