🚨 Petrel Season Has Begun! 🚨

Did you know Leach’s Storm-Petrels can get stranded on land, especially during strong winds? They can only flutter a short distance from the ground, so they may look injured, but they always need help! These tiny seabirds often tuck themselves along building foundations to stay safe from predators.

👉 If you spot one:
• Wear gloves to protect both you and the bird.
• Gently hold it with its wings against its body.
• Place it in a ventilated box lined with paper towel, and keep it somewhere cool and quiet.
• Call or text the CPAWS hotline at 709-330-8929 or send us a Facebook message for assistance and to arrange pick up.
• If you’re in a remote area, we can guide you on a safe release.
• After handling, dispose of gloves and wash your hands.

Wow, look at that, one of the whale we met this July was just spotted off Maine!

Just north of Seguin Island, within sight of land: This particular whale had very damaged tail with what looks like prop damage on the left side.

------TOURS WILL RESUME JUNE 2026-------
It is this time of the year again, when we have to call it a season. We would like to say a huge Thank You to all our awesome customers and to all the amazing critters in our waters, from the biggest whale down to the tiniest glowing comb jellyfish. You all made another great season possible! We are already looking forward to meeting you again starting June 2026!

Another super calm day on the water with 2 Minke Whales all day on all tours, 13 Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola), lots of Atlantic Puffins, Black Guillemots, Bald Eagles, Razorbills, Black-legged Kittiwakes, Northern Fulmars, Double-crested Cormorants, Northern Gannets and many more!
We will be closed during tomorrow's storm, but will continue with our tours on Sunday, August 31st. And Monday, Sept. 1st will be our very last day of this season!

A super calm day with 1 Minke Whale that stayed for all our our tours today, 7 Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola), lots of hard-working Atlantic Puffins getting those last chicks ready, Razorbills, Black Guillemots, Black-legged Kittiwakes, Ruddy Turnstones, Bald Eagles!
4 days of tours left until our last day of the season on September 1st, the countdown is on!

We just met a Minke Whale and already had 5 Ocean Sunfish (Mola Mola) on the first tour of the day, plus the water is as calm as it gets, visibility 10/10 today!

Wow, we broke our old daily Ocean Sunfish (Mola mola) record: 15 today!!! Every trip had their own sunfish! We also met lots of Atlantic Puffins, Black-legged Kittiwakes, Double-crested Cormorants, Black Guillemots, Common Loons, Ruddy Turnstones, 1 Common Murre, Common Ravens, Northern Gannets and our Northern Fulmar chick is molting into adult plumage!
