Montreal really needs to rethink its traffic and road planning. I have no issue with bike lanes, but during winter, piles of snow make most of them unusable. Why place bike lanes on roads with yield signs that already have limited space?

Everywhere you go there are detours, road closures, and intersections where only two sides are open while traffic lights operate as if all four are. Many roads are blocked for weeks with no visible work, and even at night, closures remain while no one is working.

To make it worse, the car registration price went up, yet we’re driving on roads that feel like off-road tracks in the jungle. With Metro closures and traffic jams everywhere, Montreal has become a maze of frustration.

When life flips, you see people’s true faces.

Tawhid Afridi’s rise brought many into the spotlight, people who used his power, his connections, his fan base to climb higher. They smiled with him, took credit through him, and acted loyal when times were good.

Now he’s arrested, and those same people are rushing to backstab him, acting like they never stood by his side. Opportunists at their finest shining under his umbrella when it rained success, but running away the moment the storm came.

⚖️ I’m not here to support anyone. Whatever Tawhid Afridi or his father did that’s for Bangladesh law enforcement to decide. But one fact is clear: this moment has shown us who’s real and who’s fake, who stood tall and who ran away.

Remember this truth: loyalty isn’t proven in the spotlight, it’s proven in the dark.

Good day everyone,

I stand here today not just as a Muslim but as a proud Canadian.

People often ask, "Since when have Muslims been living in Canada?" The answer is for more than a century. The first known Muslim Canadian came here in 1854. And today, there are over 1.7 million Muslims living peacefully across this great country.

We are not guests we are part of the Canadian family.

We are your doctors, your engineers, your teachers, your shopkeepers, your taxi drivers, your nurses, your caregivers. We are small business owners creating jobs, volunteers helping at food banks, and neighbors helping shovel snow in the winter. We pay taxes, we follow the law, and we raise our children with values of respect, hard work, and honesty just like you.

We didn't come here to recreate where we came from we came here to start a new life. Many of us left behind war, corruption, or poverty. We came because we believed in Canada’s promise: a land of peace, freedom, and fairness. We came so our children could have a better future with safety, education, and dignity.

And no matter how many times we’ve been misunderstood, called names, or judged by the mistakes of a few we never gave hate in return. Because we believe that hate only breeds more hate. But love, patience, and understanding that brings change.

Yes, it hurts when people say "Muslims are criminals" or "Muslims don’t belong here." Because the truth is: Islam doesn’t allow crime, hate, or injustice. Those who lie, cheat, steal, or hurt others in the name of Islam they are not following Islam. They may have been born Muslim, but their actions go against everything Islam teaches.

Islam teaches us to be kind to our neighbors, to speak the truth, to give charity, to protect the innocent, and to work hard for an honest living. These are not just Muslim values they’re human values. Canadian values.

We celebrate Eid. You celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, or maybe none. That’s okay. We don’t want to change you. We just want to live peacefully with you.

Muslims are not here to take over we are here to take part.

We don’t want special treatment. We want equal treatment. Just like you, we want to feel safe, be heard, and be respected for who we are not feared for what we look like, or what we eat, or what we believe.

So before judging an entire community by the actions of a few, I ask you look at your Muslim co-worker, your Muslim neighbor, your Muslim classmate. Get to know us. You might just find we’re not so different. And in some ways, we might even surprise you.

We’re not here to divide we’re here to build.

That’s what being Canadian is all about.

Thank you.

I am very sorry to hear what is going on in Montreal.

A 16-year-old boy shot. A 15-year-old boy stabbed. It happened right here in our city Montreal. Not some far-off place. These are our streets, our neighbourhoods, and these are kids. It breaks my heart to see this becoming a pattern.

Are we truly safe in Montreal?
Are our children safe in Montreal?

This isn't just a police matter this is a community crisis. We need to wake up. Violence among youth isn't born in a day. It grows in silence, in loneliness, in homes without support, in schools without guidance, and in communities where people stop looking out for each other.

As ordinary people, we may not have power but we have presence. Be present in your children’s lives. Talk to the teens around you. Smile at a stranger. Check in on someone who's drifting. These small acts can help change the direction of a young life.

Montreal is my home. I love this city. But love means speaking out when something feels wrong.

May Allah protect us, guide us, and bring peace to our communities.

We apologize to the people of Bangladesh for our military's actions in 1971.”)

What Should Bangladesh Do Right Now?

1. Put Bangladesh First.
Think beyond emotions. Support the country’s economic growth, independence, and security.

2. Stay Neutral in India-Pakistan War.
War is dangerous. Bangladesh should not blindly support anyone unless its own safety is at risk.

3. Keep History Alive Never forget 1971. But also, be smart about modern diplomacy. You can remember betrayal but still be careful and strategic.

4. Balanced Foreign Policy.
Like many smart nations, Bangladesh must keep good relations with all India, China, USA, even Pakistan without becoming a puppet of any.
