Just a setback.

Turns out you don’t have to chase the right energy.
You just have to be yourself long enough for it to find you.

I’ve always kind of done my own thing and never really followed advice from others.

But I do catch myself looking for reassurance… checking, asking, double-checking my choices.

Sometimes that just adds noise from people who don’t actually live the life I’m trying to build — or haven’t been where I’ve been.

I’m learning not every decision needs a panel of opinions.
Some just need trust… and a step forward.

Starting 2026 with a fresh new vision.

Everytime i travelled to tanzania, I kept noticing how much creativity, intelligence, and adaptability already existed, and how little room there sometimes was to pause, plan, or explore ideas without pressure.

I’m interested in creating spaces — workshops, creative sessions, small group work, and project support — that feel grounded, human, and actually useful. Not inspirational. Not transformational. Just supportive enough to help people think clearly, try things, and take themselves a bit more seriously.

This is where the comes in to fill the gap.

WHAT IS INTERNATIONAL ANIMAL RIGHTS DAY?

International Animal Rights Day is an annual event honouring animals as sentient beings who deserve the same protections as people. This global observance is marked by demonstrations that expose animal exploitation, mourn the animal victims of human tyranny and rally support for universal animal welfare.

WHY ARE ANIMAL SENTIENCE LAWS IMPORTANT?

Animal sentience laws formally recognize what science already confirms: that just like us, animals feel emotions like joy and sorrow. These laws change how we view animals — from property to beings worthy of care and respect. They lay the framework for humane policies and encourage a societal shift towards ethical treatment.

You ever ask yourself, what does all this mean?

Healing and growth are possible when we are brave enough to ask the right questions and present enough to allow ourselves the space to answer them.

This week has been challenging in so many ways. Is it growth? Is it old patterns? Am I being tested? Probably a mixed bag. But as usual I’m still standing.

I’ve been quiet here for a while… and honestly, life has been a whirlwind.

The past few months have been intense—living in Tanzania for three months, setting up a new home, hosting a group trip, and spending the holidays with Vicent’s family. Then, just as I thought things would settle, tragedy struck…

The landlords two dogs were poisoned, and they didn’t survive. My heart broke for them, but I found myself focused on Niki—who escaped the horrible faith of the other two dogs on the compound.

Then came the hardest part: leaving. I returned to Canada, but part of me stayed behind in Tanzania. The guilt of leaving my Tanzanian life, of leaving Niki… it weighed on me (it does every time I have to go back to Canada). And as if that wasn’t enough, I came back just in time to face my grandmother’s last days.

I needed a break. From everything. And that included social media.

But today, I’m here. Slowly finding my way back. One step at a time.

👉 Have you ever taken a break from something you love because life just got too heavy? How did you find your way back?
