And that’s it, folks...
We left the restaurant and are on to a new chapter.
I want to thank everyone deep-lee for their support and kind words.
I want to thank all the staff... we really had a great team of compassionate, FUNNY, caring and hard working individuals.
I will miss this place but I’m ready to work for something that is working.
It’s ok to try something and fail. There’s gems of wisdom and strength in that. And it’s ok to name it as it is because it’s not bad to try something. 🥰
I’m so grateful for this opportunity.
I feel like a different person with new knowledge and skills. I’m ready for whatever the world needs next. Massive respect to the restaurant industry. It’s not for the faint of heart especially in a pandemic. 🤪

Do you want the bad news or the good? 😆

We have decided to step away from The Cornerstone.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that I have discovered a deep joy within myself the last month making meals when we closed the restaurant. I’ve been making meals for the market with the team and I will continue to do that.

There’s also been an amazing response to the market meals in store and online! I feel so honoured every time someone purchases something I have made. ❤️

Closing the restaurant will give us the opportunity to rebuild and in the way that we are called to. ❤️ we will breathe, ask questions, and RE-focus our attention to wherever that needs to be.

So... we will be done at The Cornerstone in two weeks, no exact date set yet. 😢

I want to thank all the staff for their passion and dedication in trying to run a restaurant during a pandemic.

And I want to say a huge thank you so much to all our supporters. Everyone who has come in, commented on posts and sent encouragement. We have loved making you food and serving you and seeing your faces even if it’s half a face. We love half a face as much as a whole. We don’t discriminate.

This is going to be an amazing opportunity for us to take a breather and really think about how we can best get the food out to people and assess the needs.

The worlds needs are changing and I don’t know the game yet.

But I’m going to find out how to play and then I’m going to crush it. 💃🏽

This soup was so popular at the beginning of the week that I made more!
I love when I find a new soup to make.

This is GREEN GARDENESS! 🥣

It is vegan, gf and dairy free. It is fresh tasting with hints of lime and coconut and tons of garden greens including fiddleheads.

I also added some beans and h**p at the end.

Would be awesome with something spicy added.
