Plan your escape! Why are we Canada's Most Notorious City? We could tell you all the great reasons why our past makes us so notorious.

To truly know, you have to visit our charming downtown, where gangsters and rumrunners used to operate right under the noses of a shady police chief. You have to explore our wide open spaces, like where the Besant people lived in the indigenous healing vortex that is now known as Wakamow Valley. You have to discover the plucky pioneer spirit that just never gives up here - that brought this almost

ghost town into a thriving prairie city that will welcome you like you've always belonged here. You have to dip your toes in healing mineral waters, or in the Moose Jaw River, which drew our ancestors to this magical little destination. But we'd rather show you. Come to Moose Jaw.

The Last Dambuster

Look up on Main Street and you’ll find The Last Dambuster, a mural honouring Moose Jaw’s connection to one of the most famous missions of the Second World War.

Located on the south wall of 212 Main St N, the mural was created in 2007 by Australian artist Jon Butterworth. It tells the story of Moose Jaw native Ken Brown, who flew with the legendary Dambuster Squadron and was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal for his service.

Another Moose Jaw pilot, Flying Officer Robert Alexander Urquhart, also took part in the Dambuster mission. His aircraft was damaged during the operation and was later lost on the return to base, with all crew members aboard.

Today, The Last Dambuster serves as a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the Moose Jaw residents who served during wartime. ✈️

📍 Find it: South wall of 212 Main St N, visible from High Street.

🎄✈️ A Big Thank You to Jared Robinson!

Tourism Moose Jaw would like to give a huge thank you to Jared Robinson for designing the cover of the 2026 Moose Jaw Christmas Wish Book!

Inspired by the recent conversations surrounding the Snowbirds, Jared brought some of Moose Jaw’s most recognizable icons together with a little Christmas magic. 🎅✈️

We especially appreciate the creativity and attention to detail that went into bringing this cover to life. From photographing the Tudor display models and vintage brass pieces at the Western Development Museum to combining them with Moose Jaw’s aviation identity, Jared went the extra mile (and climbed 25 ladders! 😉) to create something truly special.

Thank you, Jared, for showcasing Moose Jaw in such a creative and festive way! We’re thrilled to have your work featured on this year’s Wish Book cover. ❤️🎄
