🎣 We went out looking for walleye and crappie yesterday and Troy hooked into this beauty of a musky! The funny part? There’s a musky tournament going on, and we didn’t even enter! 🤣 Guess this big guy wanted to make sure we knew what we were missing.

Larry update: He’s back… but apparently he’s only accepting nighttime visits now. 🌙🐻 We’ll keep an eye out and see if he makes a daytime appearance!

One last peaceful night at Little Bear Island Camp before switching gears. 🌕✨

Camp was quiet, the moon was shining over the docks, and I’m on my way home to trade island life for scrubs and my nursing job for the week while Troy is on his way back to camp. It’s quite the change of pace—but I’m so grateful for the beautiful moments in both worlds.

🐻 THE SANDI & LARRY TAKEOVER — FINAL REPORT

Well, I think it’s time for the final report from Little Bear Island Camp. 😂

While Troy and Garrett have been off in Wyoming having what appears to be a VERY successful antelope hunt…things have been going pretty well back at Little Bear too!

Guests arrived and got settled in. 🎣
Camp stayed up and running. ✅
I even managed to get some sewing done with a view that’s pretty hard to beat. 🧵❤️
And the island gave us a couple of absolutely gorgeous September sunrise and sunsets. 🌅

And then there’s Larry. 🐻

After accepting the prestigious position of Assistant Camp Manager, Larry proceeded to:

Day 1: No Call / No Show
Day 2: No Call / No Show
Work completed: 0
P**p piles left on company property: Several 💩

Therefore, effective immediately, Little Bear Larry has been relieved of his management duties. 😂

Troy and Garrett got their antelope.
Sandi successfully ran the camp.
The guests were taken care of & Have been catching fish!
The quilt is coming together.
And Larry got fired.

I’d say it’s been a pretty productive few days. 😂

Safe travels home, boys! The island is still standing.

🐻 A Day at Little Bear Island Camp

Apparently the fishing isn’t the only thing that’s wild around here! 🐻😂

Little Bear Island Camp makes a pretty great fishing headquarters on Lake of the Woods… but some days, the wildlife decides to steal the show.

This young black bear wandered right through camp, checked out the dock, and then decided the best seat on the island was up in one of our trees. 🌲🐻

One of our favorite things about island life is that you just never know what you’re going to see. Come for the fishing, stay for the sunsets, the quiet, the island life…and apparently a little wildlife viewing too. ❤️

💍❤️ A Little Bear Island Camp FIRST! ❤️💍

We’ve had a lot of special memories made here over the years, but this one is a first for us!

During their stay at Little Bear Island Camp, Robert popped the question to Paige while they were out in the boat… and SHE SAID YES! 💍🎣❤️

Talk about the perfect catch! 😉

We are so excited for Paige & Robert and honored that their stay with us will forever be part of such a special chapter in their story.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Here’s to a lifetime of love, fishing, and adventures together. ❤️🥂
