Point Tupper Marine Services will be testing their Wildlife Hazing and Deterrence Equipment next week at our Response Building (462 Main Street, Mulgrave) located on the South entrance of the Superport Marine Terminal. The Training will take place sometime between 9am and 2pm on May 13 (Tuesday) and May 14 (Wednesday). This equipment is used during Marine Spill Response for Wildlife Hazing (preventing marine wildlife – mainly birds) that deter wildlife from coming into the zone of interest. Some of the equipment we will be testing are Propane Cannon, pyrotechnics that include crackers/bangers/whizzers, Phoenix Whaler and Breco Buoy (loud sound making devices that produces various noises).
