The Niagara Pet Resort is an Open Concept overnight and daycare facility nestled in Niagara on the Lake wine country. We sit on 10 beautiful acres conveniently located 5 minutes from the highway and the most direct route to downtown Niagara on the Lake. You can expect your pup to be rightly pooped after their visit with us!

Originating in Germany, Dachshunds were bred with long bodies and short legs - built to tunnel into underground dens and drive out burrowed prey, specifically badgers. 🦡 They were fearless enough to follow them below ground and compact enough to fit where other dogs couldn’t! Their name says it all: “Dachs” means badger, and “hund” means dog. ⁠

Today, they’re known for their independence, cleverness, their unmistakable silhouette, and they still hold onto that determined spirit! ✨️⁠

C is for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 🐾

These spaniels trace their roots to 16th- and 17th-century England, where they were bred from toy-sized spaniels as companions for British nobility. Their name comes from King Charles II, who loved them so much he reportedly let them follow him everywhere - even into Parliament - and was rarely seen without one by his side! 👑

Originally bred for comfort and companionship, they still remain true to that purpose!

Our Resort

Niagara Pet Resort is an Open Concept overnight and daycare facility nestled in Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country. We sit on a 10 acre country property conveniently located 5 minutes from the highway and the most direct route to downtown Niagara on the Lake. Our property boasts three large fenced in play areas, a pond, VIP area, deck lounging space and soon to be indoor play barn!

*Please note that due to the nature of our open concept business we cannot answer the door outside of pick up and drop off time frames or schedule a dog for a stay if they have not yet done a trial day. Please call or email us and we’d be happy to give you the info to get your pup started at the resort.
