In Niagara on the Lake it's a "No to Green, No to Clean & Yes to more Gasoline"
Councilors on 18th November give overwhelming support and voted "yes" after a presentation to move it forward, commenting even 4 pedicabs might not be enough. But the town staff 24th report of 24th January thinks differently.
It's a one minute read:-
The newly proposed bylaw with a maximum $100,000 fine in the link below...but first this was posted as part of the future review plan on the Niagara on the Lake town page a day later on the 25th January..

Interesting!!! The Town of Niagara on the Lake is looking to promote human powered compact transport!!
Here is some text from Niagara Cycle Carriages very own detailed Business Plan submitted to the Town of Niagara on the Lake as part of an initiative for the business that town councilors all voted yes to move forward on last year...

Niagara Cycle Carriages is committed to creating a more social and healthy environment, we feel the historic down town area is a special place; our mission is to add a convenient, zero-emission mode of travel.
This new breed of pedal-power reflects the growing success of the bicycle movement in Canada as they are now successfully operated in other major cities such as Calgary, Victoria, Toronto and Ottawa.
Segments of local businesses and residents are looking for an effective alternative to get from one location to another.
The success is in locations with a high volume density of visitors and tourists and where parking was extremely limited.
Our local research connected with many local businesses and associations and the feedback was an overwhelming support for the introduction of Niagara Cycle Carriages.
Those who would like to move from one location to another without having the use of a car or use a car and the limited parking restrictions.
Those who prefer not to walk or have a restriction in walking.
An environmentally friendly solution to the challenges of modern transportation
