• Saturday, May 16: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Food Court opens at 11:00 AM)
• Sunday, May 17: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Food Court opens at 11:00 AM)
• Monday, May 18: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (Food Court opens at 11:00 AM)
🎆 WHEN ARE THE VIRGIL STAMPEDE FIREWORKS? 🎆
The spectacular Victoria Day fireworks finale will take place on Monday, May 18, starting at approximately 9:30 PM.
📍 Location: Virgil Sports Park (1565 Four Mile Creek Road, Virgil, Ontario)
💵 Admission: $5 per person (Kids 10 and under are FREE!)
🎟️ Midway Rides: Daily ride bracelets are available for $35 (valid for one day).
⚠️ Quick Travel Tips for Visitors:
• Bag Policy: Backpacks are strictly prohibited this year. Expect security bag checks at the gates for smaller purses.
• Parking: There is no parking available on the arena grounds this year. Head to the NOTL Town Hall lot (1593 Four Mile Creek Rd) for a short 2-minute walk to the gates!
• Road Closures: Lorraine Street is closed to regular vehicle traffic, so plan your route accordingly.
Whether you’re hitting the Albion Amusements midway, catching the demolition derby, or grabbing local eats at the outdoor food court, it’s the perfect long weekend tradition in Niagara!

A little taste of France… right here in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Sitting inside Lumière Café today and honestly? My heart is so full. There’s something about the soft lighting, the unmistakable French charm, and the smell of something delicious in the air that has me completely transported.

And all I can think about is… November can’t come soon enough.

We have the most magical trip on the horizon — wine country in the south of France with Westcott Vineyards, and if this little café is any preview of what’s waiting for us over there, I think we’re in for something truly unforgettable.

Sometimes the universe gives you a little wink — and today, Lumière was mine. Consider this my official countdown to the south of France.

Who else needs a café like this in their life right now?!

A cozy stop at Junction Coffee in St. David’s is always a treat for me. I recently enjoyed a seasonal peppermint mocha—warm, comforting, and perfectly balanced with just the right hint of mint—along with a savory olive and pepper scone that was full of flavour.

What I love about Junction Coffee is how welcoming it feels the moment you walk in. From thoughtfully crafted drinks to delicious baked goods and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a wonderful place to slow down, enjoy the moment, and support a great local café.

Whether I’m popping in for a coffee or lingering a little longer, it’s always a favourite stop in St. David’s—and one I’m happy to return to again and again.

Today we took a beautiful drive from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Niagara Falls, admiring the fall colours that are still hanging in and making the whole route feel warm and golden. 🍂 Even this late in the season, Niagara knows how to put on a show.

Our destination was the Handmade Market in Niagara Falls, and it did not disappoint. The whole space was filled with incredible local artisans — thoughtful, creative people who pour their heart into everything from jewelry and pottery to home décor, candles, textiles, and small-batch goodies. We loved wandering from booth to booth, meeting the makers and discovering pieces you simply can’t find anywhere else.

It was the perfect afternoon supporting local talent and soaking up Niagara’s creative energy. We’re already looking forward to the next one.

A wonderful memory from this past August…

To celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, we ended the evening with a beautiful horse and carriage ride with Sentineal Horse & Carriage through Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake. After a romantic dinner, we climbed into the carriage and slowly made our way through the quiet, flower-filled streets — just the two of us, soaking in the charm, the history, and the feeling of being completely present in such a special moment.

It was romantic, peaceful, and something we’ll always cherish. And honestly, it’s just as magical to experience during the festive holiday season — twinkling lights, crisp air, and that cozy NOTL charm.
