What an amazing day teaming up with Georgian Bay Tours, Shawanaga First Nation, Killbear Park, and Birds Canada to visit the Limestone Islands for a day of habitat mapping and bird watching! 🪨🐦‍⬛

A few awesome sighting included Black-crowned night herons, a bald eagle, spotted sandpiper, and fossils dating back millions of years.

⚠️The Limestones are a sensitive ecosystem and access is restricted to protect the species that live there. Contact Killbear Park for more information.

Six participants from the Georgian Bay Biosphere - GBB and the Georgian Bay Anishinaabek Youth took to the water on a beautiful sunny day to test out their kayak skills!
