Cruises seem to be most most-often booked vacation these days, and they really are the secret-sauce to the perfect family vacation. Unpack once, meals included, kids clubs, explore new places, family time together AND adult/kid separate time? Sign me up.
Here are the cruises my clients have been booking recently:
🌲🐻🗻 Alaska -- mostly on Disney. There are some incredible prices (especially for Canadian Residents). Even when planned last minute (hello summer 2026!) it's a "not too much planning needed" kinda trip. (I should know, last summer I booked one two weeks before departing!) And Disney magic from home, without flights, can't be beat!
🏛️🧳⛲🗺️ Europe -- mostly on Princess. Incredible itineraries, perfect way to take the kids to Europe for the first time. This is the best way to see Spain, France, Italy, Greece.....with none of the hotel and train chaos. Just European summer vibes.
🏰🥖🍇🚲 Special shoutout also to river cruises in Europe. This is THE way to enjoy low-key Europe lifestyle -- hello wine and cheese, leisurely bike rides, and castle views. I've booked clients recently on Avalon Waterways and this is THE way to tour inland Europe. It is cemented onto my own bucket list right now.
🌊☀️🚢🌟 Pacific Coastal (San Diego to Vancouver, or reverse) on Disney -- it's a short itinerary so is a great way to test out cruising, it's all sea days (hello on-ship fun!) and the flights to/from San Diego aren't very long! Plus, these cruise prices are pretty much the lowest you'll find for a Disney itinerary!
