The City of Orillia Recreation & Youth Services Division is responsible for a variety of recreation, cultural, leisure and youth opportunities, and is instrumental in organizing many sport tourism initiatives. These programs and services preserve and enhance the quality of life for present and future generations. The Recreation & Youth Services Division works with different organizations to identify and fulfill the recreational, cultural and sports, and youth needs of the citizens of Orillia.

Dive Into Lifesaving Sport with OLT This Fall!

Looking for a unique and rewarding challenge? Join the Orillia Lifesaving Team (OLT) and take part in one of the world’s most exciting and meaningful humanitarian sports.

Athletes will build swimming endurance, develop advanced water rescue skills, and train for competition — all within a supportive team environment.

Tryout Dates:
• September 13 | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
• September 17 | 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

To be eligible for tryouts, participants must:
• Be 7 years of age or older
• Swim 50 metres continuously in a recognizable stroke
• Demonstrate comfort in deep water, including diving and treading

Hey, Orillia! Tonight’s the night! Zachary Lucky is coming to the Rotary Aqua Theatre for an unforgettable night of soul-stirring country melodies. The show starts at 6:30 p.m., but the evening kicks off at 5:00 p.m., with the opening of the M&M Artisan Market.
Come down early to support our talented makers, then head over at 6:00 p.m. to the City of Orillia booth at the Rotary Aqua Theatre for your chance to score a FREE $10 gift card to Hog & Penny ()! Yup, you heard right — FREE gift cards for the first 50 people in line. Then, at 6:30 p.m., Zachary Lucky takes the stage.
