Award-winning Canadian author Louise Penny and award-winning CBC journalist Mellissa Fung are holding a special book launch in Stanstead, Québec to celebrate the release of their new thriller The Last Mandarin, and Travac has secured tickets to this highly coveted event! As one of the mystery genre’s all-time greats, tickets to Penny’s in-person events are notoriously difficult to obtain. Travac’s Alpine Adventure is a magical journey that takes you into the very heart of the Tyrolean Alps! Your holiday will commence in the enchanting postcard city of Salzburg, Austria’s Sound of Music capital and the birthplace of Mozart. Salzburg sits on the border of Germany with breathtaking views of the Eastern Alps. Home to one of Europe’s largest intact medieval fortresses, Salzburg boasts an abundance of gardens, Baroque churches, and charming old town delights. You’ll then continue to the alpine city of Innsbruck, the largest town in the Alps, nestled at the foot of the Nordkette mountain range. You will have the opportunity to take in Innsbruck’s incredible historical landmarks such as the Golden Roof, the Court Church with its stunning bronze statues, the Imperial Palace and Ambras Castle, all of which evoke the grandeur of the Habsburg empire’s bygone greatness.
