Michael’s background before Real Estate helps support this approach. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Royal Military College of Canada with a first-class distinction during his time as an Officer in the Canadian Army. Following that, Michael worked as a Production Manager for a Fortune 500 company in Ottawa’s Industrial East district putting his business degree, leadership, and analytics experience to use before ultimately making the jump to his life-long passion for Real Estate.

The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) totaled 617 units in January 2025. This was a 4.2% decrease from January 2024.

Home sales were 13% below the five-year average and 9.6% below the 10-year average for the month of January.

The December stats are out c/o the Ottawa Real Estate Board.
The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) totaled 613 units in December
2024. This was a 7.9% increase from December 2023.

On a year-to-date basis, home sales totaled 13,526 units in December 2024 — an increase of 11.8% from the same
period in 2023.

The number of homes sold through the MLS® System of the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) totaled 1,059 units in November 2024 — a slight dip down from the 1,179 units sold the month previous.

Home sales were 3.1% below the five-year average and 0.5% below the 10-year average for the month of November.

Randy Oickle is the President and Broker of Record of Innovation Realty Ltd. In addition to being a Broker, Randy is also a lawyer, called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1992. For 5 years between 1997 to early 2003, Randy worked for the Inspections & Investigations Department of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), assisting brokerages throughout Eastern Ontario with compliance with the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act. Randy also served as a Director on the RECO Board of Directors from 2006 - 2009. In 2012, Randy was elected to the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) Board of Directors and served as President of the Board in 2014. Randy has served on numerous industry committees and task forces throughout his real estate career.

Randy was a manager for what became the largest independent brokerage in Ottawa from 2003 until the end of 2017. At his departure, Randy was Vice President, General Manager & Corporate Council for this brokerage, which grew from 135 salespeople in 2003 to a peak of 585 salespeople in 2017.
