Day 2 of our student-market photoshoot brought students from a local high school together for a full day of discovery in Ottawa. 🤩

From the hands-on exhibits at the Canada Science and Technology Museum to the authentic Indigenous experiences at Mādahòkì Farm, the content captured the kind of learning-rich itineraries that resonate with today’s student groups.

With multiple photographers on site, Ottawa Tourism’s travel trade and marketing teams behind the scenes and a videographer capturing the energy of the day, this shoot was all about showcasing Ottawa as a destination where education, culture and connection come together!

Behind the scenes of our student-market photoshoot in Ottawa on May 19 and 20! 👀📸

Day 1 brought two different student-friendly itineraries to life, showing just how much groups can experience in Canada’s capital.

One group explored the National Gallery of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mint / Monnaie royale canadienne, while another captured moments at the Parliamentary Immersive Experience. Escape Bicycle Tours & Rentals- Ottawa and the Rideau Locks.

Educational, active and full of Ottawa charm, the day reflected the kind of memorable experiences that make Ottawa a strong fit for the student and youth travel market as we look ahead to hosting the SYTA: Student and Youth Travel Association Annual Conference, August 13–16, 2027.

With Air Canada as the Presenting Sponsor, Ottawa Tourism and Tourisme Outaouais, alongside our members, met with over 15 UK tour operators and approximately 40 travel agents in London, England on March 17. 🤩

From productive one-on-one meetings during the day to an engaging evening training session, the mission was all about strengthening partnerships, sharing destination knowledge, and growing Ottawa’s visibility in the UK market.
