Ottawa continues to strengthen its presence in key international markets. 🌎 🍁

Building on longstanding relationships with the German and Benelux markets, Ottawa Tourism's Travel Trade team has contracted Kleininger Consulting GmbH, in cooperation with ITN Marketing & PR, to represent the destination across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

This representation is expected to bring valuable market expertise and established travel trade relationships that will help strengthen Ottawa’s position as a destination that resonates with what German and Benelux travellers are looking for: rich heritage and cultural scene, outstanding culinary offerings, and outdoor exploration.

Team Ottawa looks forward to the success of this partnership and continuing advancing initiatives that promote destination awareness and growth.

Presented by Canada and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, this flagship event connects every year hundreds of international travel trade representatives with Canadian tourism businesses to strengthen partnerships and drive visitation across the country.

Ottawa Tourism’s Travel Trade team recently welcomed a delegation from the SYTA: Student and Youth Travel Association for a site visit ahead of the highly anticipated SYTA Annual Conference, set to take place in Canada’s capital in 2027.

With visits to some of Ottawa’s most iconic attractions and venues, including the Rogers Centre Ottawa, the National Gallery of Canada, and six of the city’s seven national museums, the tour offered valuable insights to support conference planning and development.

As Ottawa continues to strengthen its position as a destination for student travel, it’s a wonderful opportunity to host the 2027 SYTA Annual Conference and showcase the very best of Canada’s capital. Team Ottawa looks forward to welcoming SYTA members and delivering an unforgettable experience from August 13-17, 2027.

Collaboration has long been a key driver behind the success of the tourism industry. That’s why Team Ottawa continues creating opportunities for members to connect. 🤝

On June 16th, Ottawa Tourism hosted its annual Travel Trade Stakeholder Meeting, bringing members together to reflect on the past year of travel trade business in Ottawa, share plans and priorities for the current year, and begin laying the groundwork for 2027.

Held at the beautiful Richmond Estate Winery, the gathering was an opportunity to connect and share ideas over lunch and an exceptional wine-tasting experience.
