Join out attempts to communicate with the spirits of the Settler's Cabin. The cabin was originally built circa 1840 on Lot 15 Concession 11 of Ramsay (near the present Almonte Roundabout), by the William Wylie Family who resided on that lot from 1837 to 1853. The building was also owned by the Lockhart Family for several generations, and finally by the Thurston Family. It was donated to the North Lanark Historical Society in 1983 by Don and Britt Thurston. In 2024 we hosted a fundraiser for the Museum's of Mississippi Mills, this was one of 6 locations featured in the Public Investigation. To our surprise, the majority of guests reported it to be the most active location, experiences including knocking, footsteps, voices, and physical touching. As a team, we have never investigated it, now we are doing so. Join us and we investigate to see what all the hype was about! Watch, listen and tag in the comments anything unusual.

HAUNTED HONEY! Available this fall!
Just kidding! but maybe we can market Josh's local honey through history and ghost stories of Eastern Ontario. Josh has spent years perfecting his honey, now, not all know this, but the secret to Josh's honey is that he psychically receives messages from spirit on how to perfect is honey when he investigates and facilitates public investigations. The Question for you all, would you buy his honey if we marketed it through POY at our investigations and online, or should he sit for 12hrs at a farmers market every weekend pulling out of our fall season? Let us know in the comments!

GHOST STORY! The public investigation this weekend at L'Orignal Old Jail falls on an anniversary date, the sad story of Ann Lette, who is experienced at the old Jail and known as the woman under the stairs. Still some spots left to join us! Visit The Haunted Walk
Ann Lette left this world on the 27th of June 1868 as a lunatic
dangerous both to herself and others. She never attempted to hurt any one but herself while in confinement. She said she had ruined and destroyed the world and the world would have no peace until she was destroyed and in which she has succeeded. The matron, myself and daughter had rescued her prior six times. On the 4th just between two and three o’clock on she asked the matron to let her out which she did and after a short time locked her in again. She was seen after that by myself and others before she left this word - but a short time after I had seen her, an other prisoner rapped at the door and said he thought the woman was gone.
