Mi’kmaw, Merchants, Missionaries and Mariners: A Walking Tour of Olde Parrsborough

Walking Tour led by Dr. Jeff Orr, Ph D

The Parrsborough Shore Historical Society Walking Tour will reconvene Saturdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 2 pm and run September 20-Oct 5, 2025. It departs from the Art Lab parking lot, 121 Main St. Cost $10 or by donation. Cash only. So far, we have raised $2000 to revitalize Parrsboro’s historical geographic plaques and monuments and all proceeds will continue to be used for this. Please reserve by calling 902-254-2376 or by email [email protected] at least 1 hour prior to the event. On site registration and payment is also a last-minute option. See you there! 😃

Midsummer Hiatus: After today, the Walking Tour of Olde Parrsborough, operated by Dr. Jeffrey Aurdon Orr will pause for blueberry season. Tours will resume again September 20th. Please contact Jeff if you would like to participate or have any other questions.

Reminder: The Historical Walking Tour of Old Parrsborough will operate this weekend (Aug 2 & Aug 3) and again next weekend (August 9th) but NOT August 10th. The tours will pause during the wild blueberry harvest, but are planned to resume afterward, so do stay tuned for future updates. 👣

"Mi’kmaw, Missionaries, Merchants & Mariners: A Walking Tour of Historic Olde Parrsborough"

The Parrsborough Shore Historical Society Walking Tour is conducted by retired professor Dr. Jeff Orr, PhD. The tour departs from the Art Lab parking lot, at 121 Main St, and takes about 90 mins. The tours take place every Saturday @ 7PM and Sundays @ 2PM, until mid-August.

The cost is $10 (or by donation) per person. Cash only. All proceeds and tour donations will be used to revitalize Parrsboro’s historical geographic plaques and monuments.

Please reserve a spot by calling 902-254-2376 or contact via email ([email protected]) at least 1 hour prior to the tour. On site registration and payment is also a last-minute option. See you there!
