This dynamic trio brings the rich traditions of Québec’s folk music to life with acoustic energy and modern flair. Rooted in the modal repertoire and ancient musical modes, their sound is both timeless and refreshing. Many of their songs were lovingly collected from their home region of Lanaudière — the beating heart of Québec’s traditional singing.

With his fifth album Le diable dans le corps, Serge delivers a powerful country-rock tribute to his Northern Ontario roots — telling the true story of his parents with raw honesty, poetic prose, and unmistakable heart. Born in Sudbury and now based in Ottawa, Serge is known for crafting personal lyrics that strike a universal chord.

Across five solo albums, he’s carved out a unique space in the Francophone music scene, blending spoken word and song in a voice that’s deeply Canadian and unmistakably his own.

The legendary Night Sun is back — and they’re bringing their unmistakable energy to the 2025 Stewart Park Festival!

Originally lighting up North America 25 years ago with a sound described as “Janis Joplin singing Celtic-Zydeco with a Klezmer twist,” Night Sun returns with the same fire and friendship that made them unforgettable. Rooted in folk and rich with musical textures, their performances are poignant, delicate, energetic — and distinctly Canadian.

Led by award-winning singer-songwriter Ellen Hamilton, the band features Chris Coleman (clarinet, mandolin), Jan LeClair (accordion), Adam Hodge (bass), and Les Casson (percussion). It’s a joyful reunion you won’t want to miss.

Ready to be part of something awesome this summer? The Stewart Park Festival is built on community — and we need YOU to help make the magic happen! 🌟

💪 It takes over 1,000 volunteer hours and a crew of about 150 amazing humans to bring the festival to life — and we’d love for you to join our team!

🧡 Do 2 shifts (3–4 hours each) and earn:
✔️ A coveted Festival Crew T-shirt
✔️ Our eternal gratitude
✔️ Bragging rights
✔️ A front-row seat to all the fun!

We’re excited to welcome Rube & Rake to the 2025 Stewart Park Festival lineup!

This award-winning folk duo from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador blends East and West Coast roots into a sound that’s uniquely Canadian — thoughtful, melodic, and unmistakably honest. With songs that explore home, time, and the tug-of-war between dreams and duty, Josh Sandu and Andrew Laite offer a modern folk narrative full of heart and humanity.
