Whatâs this all about?
The Town of Perth has partnered with the University of Toronto to support a student landscape design competition led by the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design.
Students were invited to dream big and explore how the Tay Basin could become:
A hub for community events and festivals
A welcoming space for daily use and tourism
More accessible and easy to navigate
Better integrated with parking, traffic, and existing infrastructure
These designs are conceptual onlyâtheyâre not proposed projectsâbut they offer a fresh perspective and help spark ideas for the future.
A quick note on the Townâs role
The Town of Perth is participating as a community partner in an advisory capacity:
No decisions have been made
No funding is committed
These ideas may simply help guide future conversations
