The water is at its warmest, the days are long, and summer is in full swing. We are pleased to introduce the newest sculpted wooden characters very recently installed on Équinoxe’s kitchen cabinet doors. Birds and their songs are such a huge part of the Voyageur Houseboats experience that we wanted to bring a little of that magic indoors as well.

Nous sommes heureux de vous présenter nos tout nouveaux oiseaux en bois sculptés à la main, maintenant installés sur les portes des armoires de la cuisine d’Équinoxe. Les oiseaux et leurs chants font partie intégrante de l’expérience Voyageur Houseboats. Nous avons donc voulu faire entrer un peu de cette magie à l’intérieur.

Serenité is ready for her first clients of the season for a weekend stay. There’s something so satisfying about finishing resetting a houseboat, when everything is just right!

To all the amateur astronomers among you, have you ever stargazed from your own private dark-sky reserve? There is so much to see during the Manitoba summer night skies, and savvy clients plan their houseboat stays to coincide with celestial events. Here are some of the big ones:

- The new moons when the sky is at its darkest, ideal for viewing the Milky Way: May 16th, June 15th, July 14th, August 12th
- Best celestial event to prioritize: Perseids Meteor Shower from August 11th - 13th, Partial solar eclipse on August 12th, Lunar eclipse on August 28th.
