AMEX Hardwood AMEX Hardwood is a hardwood sawmill located in Plessisville Quebec. We buy hardwood logs from eastern USA, Ontario and New Brunswick. We buy all year round.

We buy logs from the following states: NY, PA, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH and ME, as well as Ontario and New Brunswick. We arrange for trucking and transport fees are included in our price sheet. We are looking for: Hard maple, cherry, walnut, oak, birch, soft maple, hickory and white ash. We work with everyone, wether you are from a log yard, a landowner, someone who will ship only one load a year or

100 loads a year. We don't close during summer vacations and winter holidays. We pay very quickly via ACH payments. We will pay for your load the same day we receive it. We are equiped to keep you updated with the trucking by either phone, email, fax and even text messages. So if a truck is late, we can notify you quickly as we know your time is money. We wanted to share some good news with you:

As of now, there are no tariffs on logs. This is a very positive development, and it means we’ll continue picking up logs as usual.

For the time being, prices also remain unchanged. Of course, we’re keeping a close eye on the situation, and if anything changes, we’ll make sure to inform you promptly.

Happy Monday!

The thaw period is approaching, and as of now, it is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 17. During this time, trucks will be required to reduce their loads by approximately 10% to comply with seasonal weight restrictions. End date is subject to change.

Despite the evolving political situation and potential tariff changes, we are still buying logs. At this time, prices remain unchanged, but we can’t guarantee for how long. There is a possibility of tariffs on U.S. logs to Canada in about a month, so if you plan to ship, we suggest doing so sooner rather than later. Truck availability is a challenge, but we are working hard with our transporters to optimize deliveries. The situation is changing rapidly, and we will adjust accordingly and keep you informed.

After a well-deserved holiday break, we’re back in full swing and ready for the high season. We’re actively looking to source all items on our price list, with a strong interest in hard maple, soft maple, white ash, and black walnut.

Truck traffic remains efficient, allowing us to arrange quick pickups. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a pickup.
