“𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝘁, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗽” ....
.. was a brochure I picked up at the CHS airport on my way to catch a shuttle to my hotel. After wandering the Historic District for over 2 hours, I understood why one of the articles said “Charleston is, after all, a city specifically engineered for people who like taking picture of things” – from the unique Pineapple fountain, to the numerous local shops on King Street where the street is pedestrian only on the 1st Sunday of the month, to the colourful houses on Rainbow Row and historic homes on Tradd street. What beauty will I discover tomorrow?

I’ve spent the last 4 ½ days on my 1st trip to Madrid and it’s true … Madrid is known for their lively culture, world-class art & food and energetic atmosphere that never seems to fade ... and my trip did not disappoint. Here are a couple of my ‘must do’ suggestions”:

𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱 – This is a great start to your vacation. Hop on, listen to audio guide or a live guide and discover what’s to see and do in the city.

𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 – Madrid’s food is all about bold flavors, tradition, and sharing. And there’s no limit to the number of great Tapa’s restaurants!

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 & 𝗔𝗿𝘁 – The Royal Palace of Madrid has many historical artefacts & witnessed centuries of Spanish history. It is one of the few official Heads of State residences open to the public.

𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑾𝑶𝑾 .. 🎄the Christmas Magic 🎄– transforming main streets, such as Gran Via and other streets, statues, squares with brilliant lights to bring the spirit alive. Feliz Navidad!
