One of my deepest wildlife experiences today — and I did not even get a picture.
And honestly, I couldn’t care less.
Sometimes it is not about the photograph. It is not about the perfect angle, the sharp image, or the social media moment. Sometimes it is simply about being there, listening, feeling, and understanding how lucky we are to witness something truly wild.
Today was one of those moments.
The video is not much to look at — just part of my sweater while I was holding my iPhone out of the boat window. But the sound… those beautiful coastal sea wolf calls… that is what this moment was about.
Sharing this experience with guests and friends on my tour made it even more special.
And no — I do not offer wolf tours. These encounters are rare, unpredictable, and never something I go looking for or promise. They are gifts from the wild.
