one of the darkest points in Southern Ontario the “Long Point Observatory” is Canada's newest public astronomical observatory. Equipped with a state-of-the-art 40-centimetre Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope that is capable of revealing celestial objects 10,000 times fainter than the faintest objects visible to the naked eye. Big Creek Canoe & Kayak tour. Located in the heartland of Norfolk County, this great paddling creek is approximately 20 metres wide and is full of wildlife and amphibians. Your adventure makes its way to a completion inside the Long Point World Bio-Sphere. You will have a professional guide accompanying you to teach you about the flora and fauna. Wilderness Suites Accommodation. Extend your stay overnight in our luxurious wilderness suites. Equipped with glass doors, large beds, flush toilets, running hot water for a sink and outdoor shower, these suites are first-class camping.

We have just 4 AUGUST WEEKENDS LEFT in our first season of Artist Showcase Evenings and Weekend Markets at Long Point Eco-Adventures & Marshview Patio...

And we’d love to welcome more local talent to the property before summer wraps up!

(Our weekend markets run until Oct 9th, but the summer is peak season, so we'd love for you to take advantage!)

So far, guests have responded especially well to:

🌿Nature, animal and environmentally inspired products
🌿Indigenous beadwork
🌿Crystals and copper wire sculptures
🌿Original artwork
🌿Flowers
🌿Handmade bags
🌿Vintage and handcrafted jewellery

Items that make an easy, special purchase tend to be a great fit... especially when they reflect local craftsmanship, creativity and a connection to nature.

We’d also love to welcome more local growers, bakers and food producers with fresh produce, baked goods and other locally made treats!

🎨 ARTIST SHOWCASE EVENINGS
Fridays from 3–9 PM until Oct 9th
Artists and creatives are invited to work outdoors around the property, giving guests a chance to see your work take shape. Selling your work is welcome and encouraged!

🛍️ WEEKEND MARKETS
Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM–5 PM until Oct 9th
Vendors set up in covered spaces beside our Welcome Centre, where guests can browse and shop throughout the day.

INVESTMENT
Spaces are just $25 per day... we’ve intentionally kept the fee low so it’s easy to come out, connect with our weekend visitors and see whether it’s a good fit for your business.

A few important details:
✔️Covered spaces are approximately 7.5 feet wide by 7 feet deep.
✔️Vendors must supply their own tables, chairs and displays.
✔️Saturday and Sunday vendors must be completely set up by 10 AM and remain until 5 PM.
✔️Vendors handle their own sales, payments and customer arrangements.
✔️Vendors offering edible or consumable products must provide proof of liability insurance where applicable.

🐢 Journey to the Water: Turtle Hatchling Release Tours are coming to Long Point Eco-Adventures this August!

Presented in partnership with Long Point Biosphere Region, this immersive three-hour experience takes you behind the scenes of the important conservation work helping Ontario’s native turtles survive and thrive.

Your journey begins inside our Turtle Hatchery, where you’ll meet this season’s hatchlings and learn how local turtle populations are being protected. From there, you’ll visit the turtle exclusion fence and explore forest and wetland habitat while learning about nesting behaviour, road ecology and the Wildlife Road Watch program.

The experience culminates in a moment very few people ever get to witness... the live release of a turtle hatchling into its natural habitat at Turkey Point Marsh or Long Point.

Upcoming tour dates:

🐢 August 10 at 8:00 a.m.
🐢 August 15 at 8:00 a.m.
🐢 August 18 at 5:00 p.m.
🐢 August 19 at 8:00 a.m.
🐢 August 21 at 8:00 a.m.

Tickets are $84.95 per person, and 100% of tour registration revenue is donated directly to support the Long Point Biosphere Region and its ongoing conservation work.

Participants must be at least nine years old and physically able to navigate dense vegetation, mud and uneven terrain. Pants and rubber or rain boots are required, and guests will need their own transportation to the release location.
