The line up for winter sun is out! I know, I know....we haven't even seen the sun here yet and now I'm talking about winter!! But we know how quickly summer comes and goes and now is the best time to be thinking ahead to when the snow is flying and it's -20!

Are you flying with a battery pack, power bank or a rechargeable device? Here's what you need to know if so!⁠

As of March 19, 2026, new rules are in place for anything with a battery you can recharge, like phones, laptops, power banks, and e-cigarettes. These batteries can overheat so the are not allowed to be packed in your checked luggage. Instead, be sure you carry them on board with you.⁠
⁠
Travellers are limited to one power bank per person. During the flight, they must be kept on your person or in the seat pocket (not stored in the overhead bins). Power banks cannot be charged onboard and cannot be used to charge other devices when onboard power is available.⁠
⁠
If you pack your battery pack in your checked luggage, you run the likelihood that it will be confiscated during scanning.⁠
