"Talk about a crowded house! 🦀 🌊 Pulled up this incredible hitchhiker colony on a recent charter. This massive cluster of Giant Acorn Barnacles has become its own mini-reef, complete with a bright red Heart Crab checking out the view from the boat deck. The diversity in our coastal waters never ceases to amaze us. Who knows what else is hiding down there? 🎣

🌴Hawaii, Mexico or Central America? Hopefully we see some of these same whales in this winter 😎

🐋 Humpbacks that spend the summer around Prince Rupert and northern BC generally migrate south in fall, but they don't all go to one exact place.
🐳 Where the northern BC humpbacks go?
Most of the humpbacks feeding around Prince Rupert, Haida Gwaii, the Inside Passage and southeast Alaska are part of the North Pacific population. Many migrate to warmer breeding areas in:
🌴Hawaii — a major destination for humpbacks from BC and Alaska.
🌵Mexico — particularly Baja California and the mainland Pacific coast.
🌊Central America — some animals travel as far south as Costa Rica and surrounding waters.
