Feeling incredibly grateful as I share this. ❤️

Steve and I recently had the opportunity to attend the TravelOnly Presidents Club River Cruise, and there’s so much about experiences like this that I don’t take for granted.

First and foremost, thank you to my clients. Your trust in me to help plan some of the most special trips and memories of your lives is what makes opportunities like this possible.

And while getting to experience these incredible destinations and ships firsthand is certainly a gift, what I value most is what I’m able to bring home with me.

I get to experience the product myself. Ask the questions. Meet the people behind the brands. Build relationships with the suppliers I work with every day. And ultimately, become an even stronger advisor and advocate for my clients when it matters most.

There is simply no substitute for firsthand experience — especially in travel.

So today, it’s just thankfulness all the way around. ❤️ Thankful for this industry, thankful for the relationships and opportunities it has given us, and especially thankful for every client who continues to trust Salt & Sunlight Adventures with their travels.

What a privilege it is to do what I do — and to keep learning, experiencing, and bringing that knowledge back to you. ✈️🌍🚢

Leaving Caton’s Island is always bittersweet. It’s work, yes but being there and doing what I do is truly one of the greatest joys of my life.

And now, I’m trading one River Cruise for another. 🥰

Steve and I were supposed to be sailing from Luxembourg to Nuremberg this week, but extremely low water levels on the Rhine meant a complete last-minute change of plans.

So, Amsterdam to Brussels it is! 🇳🇱➡️🇧🇪

It’s such a good reminder that travel — much like life and marriage — requires flexibility. You can make all the plans, but sometimes you have to let go of what you thought it was going to look like and embrace what’s actually in front of you. And often, it ends up being so much better than what we could have ever planned or imagined.

One of the reasons we created our upcoming Marriage Retreat at Sea in May 2027 is because we believe so deeply in the importance of intentionally making time to step away together, reconnect, and invest in your marriage.

I consider every trip Steve and I get to take together a gift. A chance to step away from work and everyday responsibilities, reconnect, have fun together and focus on us.

The itinerary may have changed, but the reason for going hasn’t. ❤️

Seven days together. Seven days to reconnect. And a brand-new adventure we didn’t see coming.

Here’s to being flexible,trusting the journey, and enjoying wherever the river takes us.

Life gets busy, and there will always be reasons to wait.
But sometimes the best decision you can make is to stop saying “one day” and finally book the trip.
Because years from now, you probably won’t remember what you bought...

You’ll remember where you went and who you shared it with. ❤️
