Caton’s Island Summer Camp Fundraiser ❤️
Every summer, I take a step back from the busy world of travel ✈️ and pour my heart into something that means so much to me — Caton’s Island Camp here in New Brunswick 🤍
And honestly? It’s one of my favourite places on earth … and I’ve been to a lot of islands 😉🏝️
Camp has played such a huge role in shaping who my kids are today 💛 Some of their best memories, deepest friendships, biggest laughs, and most life-changing moments have happened at summer camp.
It’s a place where kids get to unplug, put away technology for five whole days, and experience what feels like a true 1980s summer all over again ✨
At camp, kids spend their days climbing rope courses and rock walls, flying down the zip line, swimming, playing on water toys, trying archery and pellet guns 🎯, and running all over the island during giant evening games like Capture the Flag 🚩
They laugh until their stomachs hurt, build confidence, make lifelong memories 🤍, and most importantly, encounter the love of God in such a real and powerful way ✝️
And what makes it even more special is that kids come from all over Canada to be part of camp each summer ☀️
From May through October 🍂, this island becomes my second home!
I serve as the Kitchen Manager, leading an amazing team of staff and volunteers to help feed an average of 250 kids — three meals a day, seven days a week throughout June, July, and August.
It’s exhausting
It’s chaotic
It’s incredibly rewarding
And I absolutely love it 🤍
Every year, we also run a major fundraising campaign 💛 so we can continue maintaining the camp facilities and, most importantly, sponsor as many kids as possible who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to attend camp.
Because camp changes lives ✨
I know… because it changed mine and my entire family 🤍
