Iโve stepped away from my office to spend the afternoon AND evening at the Granite Travel Trade Expo right here in Red Deer! ๐ ๐๐
Iโm attending the full event, starting with supplier presentations followed by a trade show this evening where Iโll have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with travel suppliers from around the world. ๐โ๏ธ๐๏ธ๐ข
One of the things I love most about being a travel advisor is that the learning never really stops. โค๏ธ
These events give me the opportunity to hear directly from the people who represent the destinations, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators and travel products I recommend to my clients. I get to ask questions, learn whatโs new, build relationships and sometimes pick up those little pieces of information you simply donโt get from looking at a website.
And ultimately, all of that knowledge comes back to YOU. ๐ฅฐ
When you ask me, โWhich resort would you choose?โ or โWhich cruise line is better for our family?โ or โWhere should we go?โ โ I want my recommendations to come from more than a computer search.
I want them backed by education, firsthand experiences whenever possible, and relationships with the suppliers who actually make these vacations happen. โค๏ธ
So while today technically means stepping away from my desk for several hours, Iโm still very much working โ just trading my computer screen for some good old-fashioned face-to-face learning and networking! ๐
