We enjoyed a morning stroll through the QE2 Gardens at the SK Legislative Building before our drive to Winnipeg. It was a smoky but pleasant day with a nice group of new friends.

We are off on another adventure. A stop at Grotto Gardens at Maple Creek was a chance to enjoy a “sweet treat” and visit with the resident “kids “. A picture of Don Cherry and then in to Regina for the night.

Good evening, everyone!

I thought I'd take a moment to thank those who have come in and supported me and the store. I give you a heartfelt thank you.

Now, I'm going to give you some exciting news. You know how Co-op, Alternate Root, and Nutters has a % off sale on the first Tuesday of every month? Well, we are going to do the same, but with buttons!

I will have a drawstring bag that will have 100 buttons inside and all of the buttons are different shapes, sizes, textures.. you get it - they're not the same, and for every $25 purchase (before tax) you make, you get to feel around in the bag and pull a button out and whatever color the button is, will be the percentage you will have taken off your purchase.

Here's the breakdown:
There are buttons. Of the buttons,
1 is red and it is 50% off;
1 is black and it is 40% off;
1 is blue and it is 30% off;
1 is yellow and it is 20% off,
1 is white and it is 15% off;
And the other buttons are teal green, purple and pink and they are 10% off.

This discount does not apply to the discount fabrics that are labeled 40% off because you're already getting a discount, buuuutttt, whatever your purchase price (even with the button) is, we will apply it to your customer appreciation card.

I hope this makes sense. I didn't get much sleep last night because I was thinking of ideas to do within the store.

And we will do this Button Discount Day every first Tuesday of the month. Does this sound exciting or what?! I cannot wait to see what button you pull out of the bag!

Our first Button Day will be Tuesday, August 5th! The door opens at 9 am and we will be there all day helping you save money until 5 pm. What fun to be had!

We stopped in Sparwood to view the World’s Largest Truck and had our biggest shopping stop to date in Fort MacLeod.

We followed the Columbia through orchards and vineyards this morning and enjoyed an impromptu stop at a local fruit stand.

We headed inland today after crossing the Columbia via the Lewis and Clark Bridge. A parking lot picnic, by choice, and then on to the lovely Bavarian town of Leavenworth.

What a great place to spend the night - Astoria where the Columbia River empties into the Pacific. Our hotel is literally under the spectacular Astoria - Megler Bridge.
