You never really plan to use travel insurance.
It’s the seatbelt of travel. Boring right up until the moment it absolutely isn’t.
Missed connections, weather delays, lost luggage, unexpected illness abroad… travel has a lot of moving pieces, and even the smoothest trips can hit turbulence.
One thing we’ve learned as advisors?
The travellers who have insurance are usually a whole lot calmer when things go sideways.
Before your next trip, make sure you understand:
• What your policy actually covers
• Whether you have medical coverage outside Canada
• If cancellations/interruption are included
• What your credit card insurance does and doesn’t cover
A little preparation now can save a lot of stress later.
