On the return home we will visit the Amish Country in beautiful Lancaster PA
Saturday April 17: Welcome aboard everyone as we depart for Sunny Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We will make several stops today for coffee, lunch & bathroom breaks as we travel along. We will make our first night’s stay away from home at the beautiful Fairfield Inn, Tewksbury Mass. Prior to check in we will have supper at the famous Cracker Barrel Restaurant (not included).
Sunday April 18: After a good night sleep and delicious breakfast, we will travel through several States to our 2nd night’s destination at the Fairfield Inn, Wi******er VA. A Group Dinner is included this evening.
Monday April 19: Today following breakfast at the Hotel, we will travel a short distance on Scenic Route 66 and then take the I 95 towards Myrtle Beach. We will make several breaks along the way.
Checking in late afternoon you can start your “Fun in the Sun Vacation”. The Hotel offers Great Amenities, Central location and best of all Southern Hospitality…
Amenities include Oceanfront Tanning Lawn, Indoor/Outdoor Pools, Hot Tub Spas, Lazy River, Free Wi-Fi, Fitness/Laundry, Business Centre, walking distance to Shops & Dining. All Rooms are Newly Renovated Ocean Front (6 years ago) – full efficiency units with a Balcony. All full Buffet breakfasts are included in the Rose Room during your stay.
Tuesday April 20: The Motor Coach will leave around 10:00 AM to take you to the Local Grocery Store so you can stock up on Items needed for your vacation stay while here in beautiful Myrtle Beach.
Your stay in Myrtle Beach (April 19- 30) will include 1 Show – The Legends Theatre & Dinner, Lunch & Entertainment Cruise on the Barefoot Queen, 3 Group Meals, Dayton House Evening Bingo Social, 11 Buffet Breakfasts, an Excursion Day to Brookgreen Gardens with lunch, as well as Shopping, Sight Seeing of Myrtle Beach and ample time for Rest & Relaxation to do as you like!! For those who enjoy Southern Gospel Music “Singing in the Sun” is taking place at the Convention Centre which is within walking distance from our Resort. Friday April 30: Today after breakfast, we will leave beautiful Myrtle Beach and retrace our tracks as we travel north back to Wi******er VA., where we will overnight at the Fairfield Inn. Group Dinner is included this evening.
Saturday May 1: Today after breakfast at the Hotel, we will depart & travel a short distance arriving late morning to the beautiful Amish Country of Lancaster PA. We will have time for a little shopping and have lunch on your own at Kitchen Kettle. This afternoon I have arranged for you a wonderful Tour Guide Rachel Smucker to come join us for an amazing Tour of the Amish Country Side. Rachel is very familiar with the Amish Faith and their way of life. We will visit several Amish Farms where they display and sell beautiful Quilts, Furniture, Crafts and much more. We will visit a Country Roadside Amish Store which is a must stop for a delicious Amish homemade hot pretzel & root b**r Yum Yum!! We will also visit the Amish Walmart which is a must stop!
To top off our day I have arranged for you this evening a delicious Amish Meal in a young couple’s “Amish Home”. Their names are Daniel & Liz Fisher who have 5 children. This will be an experience you will always remember! The Cost will be $25.00 per person U.S. Cash only please.
After an awesome day we will check into the Comfort Inn & Suites Amish Country for a great nights’ sleep.
Sunday May 2: We will depart after Breakfast and make our way further north for our last overnight in Portland, Maine. I have arranged a “Farewell Group Dinner” for you tonight at the hotel (included) followed by an evening of entertainment and the Special Guests are “YOU “so get busy and have a song ready, a skit, a poem about the Trip or what-ever-strikes your fancy!! (Bring along a musical instrument if you play)
Monday May 3: Following Breakfast this morning we will travel towards home with a lunch stop along the way & several comfort breaks.
Please have your passports and receipts available for the Canadian Customs. Once we cross the Border, we are home to our beautiful “Country of Canada” taking with us wonderful memories and many new friendships that will last a lifetime.
