Lunch at the Historical McAdam Railway Fifties Diner with Railway Pie & Full Tour of the Station including the upstairs Hotel
Come along with Burgess Tours as we Tour the Historic McAdam Train Station built in the early 1900. It’s a story of railroad history when riding the rail was the only way to travel. Come join us for lunch in the Fifties Diner for the perfect setting for railroad stories of old. The McAdam Railway Station is a rare example of a Canadian Pacific Railway passenger station with a built-in hotel. We will enjoy a full Tour including the upper hotel rooms. If walls could only talk!
Enjoy the collections of artifacts here, that represent over 120 years of Canadian Pacific history as you explore the station. For those who cannot do stairs you will be able to enjoy a short- narrated video of the upper hotel levels...
As the afternoon comes to an end, we will depart for home with much more knowledge and appreciation of the days gone bye.

This piece almost didn’t make it. Halfway through, I thought about starting over… the shadows felt off, the texture wouldn’t cooperate, and my eraser seemed to have a mind of its own.

But pastels have a way of teaching patience. Every smudge, every dark line, every ‘mistake’ became part of the final story.

Now, it’s one of my favorites.*
