Our family has been sailing the Great Lakes, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean for most of our lives. Our children have grown up at the helm of our sailboats around the world. Amenities:
Everything is provided to make your cruise as comfortable as possible including the abilty to purchase BBQ food & drinks while at sea. What we Offer:
We offer 3 cruises daily each lasting for 3 hours. Experience your 3 hour cruise aboard our 38 foot sailboat. We begin the cruise along the shoreline, where you may see many of the seabirds native to this area. We then turn out to sea where whales and dolphins call home. If conditions are right we raise the sails and you experience silent motion through the sea. Our highly experience crew are here to make your adventure a once in a lifetime experience.

Behind every female entrepreneur is a girl who couldn't find what she was looking for, so she built it herself.

Our story began nearly 17 years ago with a family road trip and a little bit of maritime magic.

Captain Michelle, her wife, and their children traveled to the Maritimes for a cousin's wedding. During that trip, they crossed the bridge to Prince Edward Island, and something unexpected happened—Michelle fell completely in love with the province that her wife already adored.

It was the water. The rolling coastline. The red cliffs. The boats dancing on the horizon. The welcoming people. The feeling that life moved just a little differently here.

But there was one thing missing. As a lifelong sailor, Michelle wanted to hop aboard a sailboat and experience the island from the water. To her surprise, there wasn't a sailing tour company to be found.

And somewhere along the drive home, between conversations, laughter, and miles of highway, a dream was born.

"What if we started one ourselves?"

That simple question planted the seed that would eventually become Atlantic Sailing PEI.

Throughout the fall and winter that followed, Michelle scoured boatyards, searched boat-for-sale listings, and hunted for the perfect vessel to bring the dream to life. The very next summer, a boat was purchased, and plans were made to move her from Ontario to Prince Edward Island.

Fifteen summers later, Michelle and her wife still proudly own and operate Atlantic Sailing PEI from North Rustico Harbour. Crew have been hired to assist the growing demand. And if anything, they are even more in love with this province, its people, and the ocean than they were on that very first visit.

Every sail is a chance to share that feeling.
The feeling of salt air on your face. The sight of the iconic red sandstone cliffs of PEI National Park. The wonder of spotting seals, seabirds, and other marine life. The peace that comes from seeing the island from a completely different perspective.

What a spring it has been!

Before we could welcome our first guests aboard for the 2026 season, there was a lot happening behind the scenes.

Over the past few months, we widened our washroom doorway, rebuilt the washroom door, and installed a new low-profile latch to improve accessibility and comfort for our guests. We removed our faithful old blue engine and replaced it with a beautiful new Beta 50 engine—a project that required reinforcing floors, resizing hatch access, building a custom wooden railway system and cart, and bringing in a boom truck to carefully lift engines out and in.

We also installed new control panels both on deck and below, sanded and repainted the hull with a fresh blue bottom coat, attended tourism and marketing meetings, connected with fellow Island tourism operators, launched the boat, trained new team members, sent staff away for additional professional development, shared a staff lunch, and finally...

We welcomed our very first guests of 2026 aboard!
Every improvement, every meeting, every coat of paint, and every hour of hard work was done with one goal in mind: creating an unforgettable experience for you.

We are officially OPEN for the season and can't wait to share our beautiful slice of Prince Edward Island with you.
