Wow! What a beautiful province we live in. We are soooooo lucky to have this wonderful place in our own backyard.
After a hearty breakfast buffet we started out on our excellent adventure with our first stop at Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge for some retail therapy and time to grab a coffee. This gift store is phenomenal and a huge thank you to Franzi and her staff for such a warm welcome. Next a short drive took us to the upper falls for a look. Athabasca Water Falls was our next destination and it was amazing how fast the river is moving, Mother Nature is amazing. Our lunch was at Montanas BBQ in Jasper, small soup, salad and a small chicken wrap was served hot and was delicious. After time for a little shopping in town we left for the highlight of the day which was Icefield Parkway where we had the opportunity to go on the Athabasca Glacier as well as walk on the glass of the Columbia Icefields Skywalk. It got very cold but we had a great time. Upon arrival back at the hotel we had another fantastic buffet at Saskatchewan River Crossing.
Our adventure has not ended as tomorrow is a new day! Another huge thank you to Heather our TRAXX Coachlines driver for all her excellent work.
I have to mention again how wonderful the group is on this active mystery tour. They are up for anything!

Today was another great day planned by Pro Tours. We left Lake Louise this morning with sunny skies and made our way to Emerald Lake Lodge to spend sometime exploring the area. What a beautiful spot!
Golden Skybridge was our destination for lunch and time to walk across the suspension bridges. I was so proud of the group as most of them made the 45 minute hike across both bridges. (I did not 😝)
After lunch we left in the rain and had a stop at Field Visitor Centre for a comfort break as well as time to explore the exhibits that tell the stories about the CPR and the building of the Spiral Tunnels.
We arrived here in time for a short break before having another amazing group dinner here at Mt. Robson Restaurant.
A new adventure awaits tomorrow.

We had a full day today on day one of our Maybe Mystery Tour. Tonight we are staying at Lake Louise Inn before heading out for more adventures tomorrow.
Today we had a fantastic picnic lunch at Rocky Mountain House Museum Gazebo catered by Creative Cuisine Catering. Fresh sandwiches, a lovely macaroni salad as well as fruit, cookies, coffee and tea.
After lunch we explored the Taunton Fronter Trestle Bridge in Clearwater County. This was once part of the railway line used during the coal mining boom in the area. Beautiful scenery and really nice weather. Our next adventure was in Nordegg for a visit and guided tour of Brazeau Collieries Historic Site. Our guide Courtney gave us a great presentation on how the daily operation of the mine worked.
We arrived in Lake Louise in time for a lovely group welcome dinner and all left with very full stomachs. Our TRAXX Coachlines driver Heather was wonderful and did a great job getting us every where we needed to be today.

Our final day of Ireland was spend doing a city tour of Belfast as well as a visit to the Titanic Museum. The history of this country would astound you and our Tour guide Garey for our entire tour was an encyclopedia of information!

There wasn’t a corner of this country that he didn’t know in immaculate detail.

Today we fly home and wish Ireland farewell.
I want to thank the most amazing group of new friends and travellers who entrusted us with their travel plans. Many laughs were shared, and stories told over the past 13 days.

Wishing everyone a safe journey home and hope to see you all soon.

Our past two days of our Spring in Ireland Tour brought us many new sights and experiences
Starting day 10 we departed Lough Eske Castle and made our way to Derry city for a part driving part walking tour of the walled city. The driving portion is filled with storied murals out side of the walls and the walking portion is all within the walls of the city.
Then off to Busmills for a distillery tour and tasting and into Portrush for the night where we had plenty of time to explore the beaches on either side of our hotel.

Day 11 we were lucky to be the first bus at Giants Causeway, some walked down and back and some chose to take the shuttle. Either way it is a magnificent experience!

From there we took the Antrim Coast road to Belfast. Another stunning coastal drive with many views of Scotland across the water!
Both evenings included 3 course meals and both times we were at our hotel around 3-3:30 giving us plenty of free time to explore.

More to come, today is our last day in Northern Ireland as it’s back to Dublin tonight

Time to catch up from the last few days of our Spring in Ireland tour.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Castlecourt Hotel Westport which included a free day! Everyone enjoyed time on their own to wander around this beautiful town. A few took a boat cruise, some toured Westport house and gardens and some of us met late afternoon The Old Grainstore Westport for a whisky tasting.

After departing Westport we had a short drive to Knock and a visit to the Marian Shrine
We had free time for lunch in Sligo and then to Drumcliff where we visited the gravesite of William Buttler Yeats.

We arrived early to a warm welcome at Lough Eske Castle where we all enjoyed a Castle tour and early check in so everyone could enjoy this overnight Castle stay. I think our included dinner here was the best one we have had yet.
This Castle stay was true Cinderella experience for some!

Off to Derry this morning for a walking tour of the Derry Wall, a tour of Bushmills Distillery and a beautiful Oceanside stay tonight at Portrush.

We had an amazing day 7 on our Spring in Ireland Tour.
We visited Kylemore Abbey in Connemara a Benedictine Monastery on a 1000 acre estate.
A tour of the Abbey, and a stroll along the shores of Lough Pollucapal to the Neo-Gothic Church and Mausoleum.
A short walk or bus ride up to the 6-acre Victorian Walled gardens where you could grab a snack or lunch in the Garden tea house or down below at the Kylemore Kitchen and cafe. The food was amazing

From there we traveled to Glen Keen Farm where we were treated to an amazing Sheep Dog Presentation before enjoying some Irish music and Tea and Scones.

We then settled in to the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport for a 2 night stay and had an amazing dinner.
A week into our tour and we have a full free day tomorrow to enjoy the town of Westport.
Some are choosing to browse the town, shop or dine. Some plan to enjoy this wonderful resort and Spa and others plan to visit the Westport House And Gardens

Looking forward to hearing all about everyone’s adventures

Much more to come

On our last day of our Mother's Day tour our customers had the option again to either stay and enjoy the amenities at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort or go on a day excursion. Some stayed back and soaked in the pools and went for a scenic walk enjoying the beautiful weather. Some of us decided to try our luck at Casino Of The Rockies outside of Cranbrook. We learned about the restored residential school and a little bit of the St.Eugene history. It was a lovely day and let's say some customers had smiles when we left! I'm not ready to leave and I think my wonderful group feels the same. Thank-you again to Elias from TRAXX Coachlines for getting us from place to place safe and sound. Hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's day tour!
